I really like the nice, light sounds that these bells produce. They have a nice, antique look about them, as well. I had some Christmas bells that I left hung on my front door as a nice way to hear when people came or went, but they were larger and brass so the sounds were not melodious at all. These now replace those with much more harmonious tones that set a better mood. I don't know how lucky they are, but they're certainly pleasant to hear and aesthetically pleasing as well.

I ordered this rustic cow bell set to hang over the door handle of our back door. Our intention is to teach our puppy to ring the bells when she wants to go outside. The bells definitely look rustic. They have just the right amount of rust look to them. They are hung from the ring by what appears to be a thick twine rope. They jingle easily but are not so loud that they become obnoxious. I worry that the rope will not last over a period of time, and I would be hesitant to use this outside in an area that is not weather protected.
