I have nothing but great things to say about this kit the lights are bright with a good field of vision and the horn is loud and helps when you are wearing a helmet and need to let people know you are behind them

I ride a self-assembled e-bike so I needed to buy lights for it. I bought a practically identical set two years ago and the headlamp was not working properly so I bought another set, from a different company. You cannot buy a headlamp alone.What I loved:1. Very easy to install if your e-bike’s controller has a 12v power cord. The light’s connector paired up with the e-bike’s controller beautifully.2. This new light set has small leds that light up when I use the rear light’s turn signals. My older set did not have this feature and I would never know if the turn signal lights were on or off. I would have to look at the back of the bike to see if they were on or off.3. The lights are super bright.Now my biggest issue with this set is that it did the same thing that my first set did. The headlights have four individual “bulbs”. My first set had two bulbs that stopped working. Now the same thing happened with this new set. The two remaining working “bulbs” are still bright enough for night riding but now I’m concerned that those two might also go out.

I'm pleasantly surprised by this light set, especially at this price point. I read some reviews that said the wiring was confusing and difficult. I had no issues as it matched my wiring setup perfectly. Some basic knowledge of your wiring setup will go a long way. That being said, buy this item AS you're building your bike, not AFTER you've built it. I have yet to find an ebike conversion kit that includes lights, especially ones this nice.So, once the installation was complete... Material quality seems pretty good. The controls are weatherproof buttons, the lamps are sturdy, and seem well designed. The lights are REALLY bright. Like regular lights on a motorcycle bright. I wish there was a high beam/low beam function, and turn signals on the front lamp, but the lights as they are make me significantly more visible during the day, and light up the street at night. Also, the horn (though the sound is obnoxious at best) is pretty effective.

First thing's first, this does not come with instructions. I have a Lectric XP Lite (not 2.0) and this has cables catered to it, but if your model of bike doesn't use the same ones, you will need to get creative with the wires. Note that depending on how your controller is laid out, there may be a quirk/trade-off in powering the new system. For example, none of this gets powered unless I hold down the + button on my Lectric XP Lite, which would normally turn on the headlight. This means I have to habitually hit that button whenever I power on the bike for this to get powered. The lights are awesome upgrades to Lectric's stock parts, and having a horn is neat, though it sounds like a buzzer on a game show.I didn't think to take pictures and am too lazy to take it apart for this, but the process is basically...1. Remove your battery, then hold down a button (ie. power button) to drain residual power2. Unplug your stock cables for what this replaces and remove the stock parts. If your bike is like mine, this will also require you to remove protective wrapping from the cables, which you'll ultimately have to put back on when you're done3. Locate and open up the controller box for your ebike. This is almost always neighboring the battery; you might find a panel that you can unscrew.4. Unplug the stock cables and replace them with those on the provided wire harness. If the plugs aren't the same, then you're out of luck and will have to get creative. I'm friends with an electrician who was able to do this for his Lectric XPeak with some time and patience remaking the wires, but obviously this would void any warranty or returns, so beware. He was plenty relieved to see mine was as simple as opening up the controller and plugging it all in!5. Route the newly-plugged in cables back along the frame of your bike as desired. Remember to leave a little slack to account for the movement of your frame and handlebars, but be mindful of securing excess so it doesn't get caught in your drivetrain or other moving parts.6. Mount the new parts as desired/necessary. Replace the wrapping on the cables if yours are on the exterior, and double check that everything is secured.Sorry I can't help more with the DIY aspect, but hopefully this informs someone better than what I've found/seen! Back light wasn’t functioning properly (only running light, no brake light).Had to search similar postings to find one with a photo calling out the wiring layout. You can figure out with some trial and error. Instructions don’t tell you, but connectors are JST-SM. These can be used with AWG 20 or smaller.I liked the small controller and the rest of the wiring loom helped me layout the design I wanted to use. Note, wire color coding is different coming from the hand controller to the wiring loom/harness.There is also no break out for turn signal wiring for the front the back. (In fairness it didn’t advertise that feature, but was something I didn’t think of until I decided to add those later).

This is a nice light combo. Love how bright the tail light is and the blinkers rock. The head light is bright and a nice focused beam. Would be nice if it was a little bigger. Very easy to plug and play and it works great! The horn makes me giggle (it's so road runner it's awesome) but a great set for the price tag.
