About this item

  • 【XLR Audio over Fiber】This unit can extend 2 Bi-directional 48V phantom XLR balanced Audio over a fiber cable to far end. 2 XLR Audio signal is transmitted from T (TX) in the direction of R (RX), other 2 XLR Audio signal is transmitted in reverse direction
  • 【With 48V phantom power supply】The transmitter uses dual-use XLR Cannon connector , supporting 2 kinds of physical interfaces, XLR Cannon audio line and 6.5mm audio line which can supply power of 48V phantom for Microphones. Each audio supports 48V phantom power switch key, according to the field demand can adjust the phantom power switch, high flexibility
  • 【Long Transmission distance】It can work on both single-mode and multi-mode fiber cable. Long transmission distance: Single mode up to 12.4 miles (20Km), Mutli-mode single fiber up to 0.31 miles(500meters)
  • 【Crystal clear sound,No Loss,No Delay】Professional quality design ,Pure and Clean fiber optic audio signal transmission
  • 【Wide Applications】Typically used in applications for Staging, Theaters, Stadiums, Parks, Broadcast, studio audio and professional AV applications, etc., and are available for stand-alone and desktop type, or wall mounted, installations
  • 【Plug and Play】No need to set up ,Simply plug in an Optical LC port and XLR/6.5mm audio connectors at TX and RX sides, it will have crystal clear sound instantly

Attention:
The XLR audio fiber extender signal can be outputed to the power amplifier, but the power amplifier audio source can not output the audio source signal to the fiber extender, otherwise the fiber extender will be burned.
We suggest that user use the short optical fiber cable to do first time test to ensure that all the functions of the equipment are normal, and then do long-distance transmission.

I've tried various wireless XLR transmitters, but invariably there's always a tiny delay you have to account for. This is the solution you're looking for if you're trying to get 4x XLR signals from location A to location B, and are tired of struggling with delays. With this, I've forgotten about my wireless XLR transmitter, this is better in every way. It's rated for 12 miles with a single mode cable (!), and around 1/4 mile with a multi-mode cable. Full disclosure, I doubt I'll ever come NEAR the 12 mile limit this can deliver with a SM fiber cable. That's like, if you want to have a live band playing in your garage, but want to send the signal to a club the next town over. This can actually do that, if that's what you desire.I have no idea if there is any difference between using an SM vs MM cable in terms of sound quality, but my instinct says no, because the microphone inputs should be unidirectional, and so a multimode cable really shouldn't see bi-directional data flow. So even though I haven't tried both kinds of cable, my somewhat informed opinion on the subject says it shouldn't matter one iota which type you use.One thing I'm quite happy about is the fact they include SFP modules, no need to add your own or worry about compatibility. That's a big concern you don't have to worry about. In all, I'm quite happy with these because there is absolutely zero lag to account for, and the quality seems excellent! Whether you need to send 4x XLR signals 40 feet or 4 miles, this will do it without delay. 5 stars.
