Sometimes when you buy a Retail, non-OEM, non-bulk packaged ROM drive the manufacturer includes a nice and proper metal pin for ejecting the drive when it needs to be done manually. But only sometimes.I'm tired of loosing the one or two metal pins that came with some ROM drive I've purchased in the past. Using a paper clip for sure will usually work but that's ghetto and if you have a small diameter paper clip you'll have to try a few times since it's thin and weak.I was looking at this and thinking it could make a nice CD / DVD / BD ROM ejector. I couldn't really tell how long the pin would be nor how strong it would be, but it's worked out perfectly on the handful of drives I've tested. Success!

It's a simple tool for ejecting the SIM card from an iPhone. The pin itself is structurally sound (doesn't readily bend) and works fine to eject the SIM card (I've used it on an iPhone 4S).Helpful hint: attach a split ring to the pin so you don't lose it. The pin itself is quite small, very thin and weighs next to nothing (and the opening is very small as well). A split ring gives the tool more volume and keeps it from disappearing in pockets or bags.

I prefer these to a paper clip since in my experience paper clips are generally n to well finished, i.e. rough metal on the edges which seem to scratch the "buttons" and often slide off the "button" when pushing down. These pins are well finished so no rough edges and the design both makes them easier to hold and the narrow tip allows for fitting in a variety of devices. At the price I paid, well worth it.

Funny how Apple cannot afford to include the tool necessary to open the SIM tray!!! Well, if you purchased an iPhone and find that you need to open the SIM tray, you can either try to bend a paperclip and try to get it in straight, or you can order this tool. Personally, I found this tool to work much better!I was a bit surprised to find that three tools were included in the shipment instead of the one described. So, I am more than pleased with this order. The tool works great and because of the shape, it goes in straight and opens the tray with ease.Having three of them makes it less likely to lose the tool. This way I can keep one at home with the paperwork, take one on trips overseas (cheaper to buy prepaid chips at the airports) and have one more put away. The tool arrived on time and it works great!! I would highly recommend the tool and the vendor.

The shipping is good. The product looks exactly like it does in the pictures and descriptions. It is very small. It works properly and removes my sim card tray. It was inexpensive. Lastly, a hairpin or safety pin would have the same effect so i probably wouldnt buy it again.

befor buying this, I was already pretty sure that any pin-shaped tool were able to open the sim tray. while ordering, I was expecting some plastic or cheap metal material, according to the price; to my suprise, however, I got one really close to the OEM eject pin, good metal material and a smooth, shining finish. Worked on my 4S with no problem. I'm totally satisfied with it. Arrived within about 5 days through 1st-class mail.

I work for T-Mobile and I'm in a location where we see a lot of unlocked iPhone 4 and 4s come in either for the value or prepaid plans. We go through a ton of paper clips and we end up losing them over time. I got fed up trying to scrounge around for a paper clip so I bought one of these to put on my key chain. I've already gotten to use this bad boy and I know a couple of my co-workers are going to order some too. It was really worth the 80 cents or so I spent for my job.
