I love all the designs in this book and have made several hats with a flower attached. I also used the crochet stitch pattern to make matching scarves.

This book is fantastic. Directions easy to follow. Multiple size choices for hats. You can see I’ve had fun. I’m making up various patterns as Christmas gifts & donations.The book actually fell apart I used it so often. I repaired it! I’m planning many more hats winter & spring!

There are a few base patterns for the caps, which are easy to crochet, work up quickly, and are very attractive. The various button-on flowers, bunnies, shamrocks, etc. are what elevate these caps above the commonplace. Very inventive and fun to crochet. As a baby gift, I made two caps for a newborn and her older sister with an assortment of button-on decorations. I would say this book is worth the price.

Haven't used it yet but have read through it. It is a very nice book. Beautiful pictures as well. I am looking forward to making my grand daughter a hat.

Just love this book. Instructions are clear and each hat has full instructions for sizes from 0-3 months to adult. Highly recommend.

This book is okay but not exactly what I was looking for. Each of the patterns comes with directions to make it in multiple sizes and the flowers are cute but not exactly what I wanted. I will probably donate this book to the library where it will be loved by many.

A lot of the patterns are very similar. I would have preferred more variety and less openwork.

This book has lots of flexibility and opportunity for creativity. The first chapter features seven hat patterns (mostly beanies, but also a slouchy hat and a cloche) and three hair adornment patterns (a hair band, a hair wrap and a set of hair ties). The second chapter features ten mix & match motifs to attach to your hat, including six flowers, two animals, a butterfly and a heart shape. The motifs are designed with a buttonhole so you can create a set of interchangeable motifs to button onto your hat. In addition, the book includes three optional hat variations for changing the finished look of the beanie style hats: a sun hat brim, a newsboy brim and ear flaps.One of the cool things about this book is that all hat and hair adornment patterns (except the hair ties) come in six sizes, from newborn to adult. This is great for those who might want to make a mother/daughter set or matching hats for the whole family.The difficulty level of the patterns are either beginner (60%) or easy/intermediate (40%) making it a good book for new crocheters, but still interesting for the more experienced crocheter, who wants to play with the mix and match aspects of the book. The patterns are written out; there are no symbol charts. The book, however, is sprinkled with little creative tips.I have made three of the motifs and had no problems with the instructions. I haven't made any of the hats yet, but plan to do so soon, as I make lots of chemo hats. I think the motifs will be a cheery accent on the hats I make.
