If you're working on an electrical project of any consequence (and you are if you need an 80 Amp breaker), I highly recommend spending a few extra bucks compared to cheap random brand options and go for Blue Sea Systems breakers.Not only are they certified/approved for marine applications, they all have trip delay curves (current vs trip time graphs) on their website. Those are really important to picking the right breaker for your needs, since there's a lot of difference in how different designs react.This C-series breaker will fairly quickly trip with any excessive current but some designs may allow 25% more current than the rating for a while. Which one you want depends on your application. I'm using this C-series breaker as the main protection for my Lithium (LiFePO4) battery where overcurrent is extremely damaging while using Blue Sea's 40A CLB-series breaker that allows overcurrent on one of the branch circuits to permit a high initial current draw.Hope this helps!!

I wanted a 100 amp main breaker to install in a Blue Sea 360 DC panel. Due to lack of information on Blue Sea websites and my lack of experience, I thought this would fit to replace the standard breakers that come in a Blue Sea 360 panel. They don't make it very clear so I bought these, turned out to be a mistake. Then I was five days past the 30 days return date before figuring this out, so cannot return them. Don't assume they fit any standard panel. In fact I am not sure what they do fit into?

Fit the custom Blue Sea panel we have. Needed to up the amperage for a new circuit. Bit pricey, as are most of Blue Sea's products.
