I titles this review because of how mine broke. By the way, the product works great. Good quality, does what it should for cheap. In the process of replacing mine, the cause of it breaking was an improperly sealed door seal on the freezer. When you replace yours, make sure the door is sealing properly. Mine had a decent sized gap which made the fan run constantly. This is a guess as to why it broke, but an educated one. Hope this helps.

I bought this because of the Prime shipping in an attempt to keep food from spoiling until I could get an OEM part. Long story short, I lost all the food in my fridge. Upon arrival, I hooked it up, it ran for 2 seconds, and died. Also, side note, it was VERY difficult to plug in and I nearly destroyed my plug hooking it up.We all know this is a cheap replacement. If you're trying what I did and just needing a place holder ASAP to keep food from going bad until the OEM part arrives, buy 2 or 3. Non of us can afford to loose a fridge full of food in this economy.

Motor was an exact fit replacement for a Frigidaire refrigerator. Easy to install. Motor is also very quiet. Time will tell on how long it lasts

The unit did not work when 12VDC applied, 2nd one ordered worked intermittent and 3rd one only worked on 12VDC applied to Yellow, Neutral White.

My Frigidaire Galaxy side-by-side stopped cooling in both sides and so I hit up youtube to figure out that it may be the evaporator fan motor.The price is fantastic and within 20 minutes I had it replaced and cooling again. So many videos showed that you have to take out the whole ice maker assembly, a chore I wasn't relishing. And then I found an old guy showing that you don't have to remove the complete back panel since it's flexible and you can leave the ice maker in place! (Pull out the ice maker drawer, however.) He used a tie wrap (I used a piece of yarn - cause that's what I had nearby and I'm just an 'old' lady, lol) and after you take out the bottom most 5 screws you flex the panel up and tie it through the screw hole to the ice maker bracket to get it out of your way.I turned off my circuit at the breaker box so I didn't even have to pull out the fridge from the wall to unplug it. Take ice make drawer out, remove the shelves and bottom basket, take 5 screws out and tie panel up to the ice maker bracket, remove motor, remove fan from old and put on new, put back in place, screw the back panel down, replace shelves and you're done. :) (Oh, and turn the breaker back on.)

Motor failed New Years day afternoon (EF error code), everybody closed for 3days until Monday. Ordered this part from Amazon with delivery promised for Monday evening. I've had iffy deliveries lately so I checked with a local parts supplier Monday morning, they were a bit surly and wanted $140 for this part. I skipped out and gambled on waiting. The part arrived around 7pm and I had the fridge running again at 7:30. Be sure to unplug the fridge to clear the error code.

I think we are one of the lucky ones because ours lasted about 18 months and then just died. There is a reason why this part is priced the way it is. Pay the extra and get a genuine OEM part.

Works like a charm. Immediately the error code disappeared from the temp panel after installation and powering up. However....I had to wire the require the connector from the old fan onto the new motor. Look closely at the pics of different motors available and choose the one with the correct clips. Thus only 4 stars.
