I've tried all kind of flush muffs and always seem to come back to this style on my Yamaha F115. The cups on these Better Boat muffs are a good balance of firm but soft enough to seal well. I bought these as my old set's cups have gotten stiff over time and just don't seal well anymore. My favorite part about these is the crimps on the cups are concealed and don't have any sharp edges. Lots of muffs seem to have very sharp crimps that you could cut yourself pretty badly on but these Better Boat muffs are nice and smooth at the crimps. I appreciate the thought by Better Boat in designing these to be comfortable and safe to install and remove.

If you are looking at this review, you already know what this item is used for. Pretty straightforward usage. No instructions included, nor are they necessary. Muff was packaged well and included a spare hose seal (because we all lose them!!) Haven't tried it with the "industrial" style connector, but with the garden hose, it works just fine. Cheap, easy to use, and decent quality.

Love better boat products. These muffs and perfect for my Yamaha VMAX 90 outboard motor. Very easy to slide onto the intake on the lower unit and covers it 100%. The hose connector is easy to connect to. I always make sure water pressure is good and enough to make it “pee.” Then I have no issues with starting it before season or getting it ready to store for the winter. Gotta have these!

these motor muffs are good quality and the rectangular shape fit on my motor better than the round ones seems easier to cover the water intake better.

Works great. The rectangle ones fit our 200hp Mercury outboard perfectly. Needed a spare set to keep at home and these are great. Can just keep them attached to the boat rinsing hose and always be ready to go. Comes with a quick connect as well which is an ice extra touch.

Works great. These muffs fit perfect on my old johnson 130. They are solid ( as muffs go) and they have a tight seal so I'm actually pulling water in the intake not spraying everything within 10 ft of the boat. These are a good buy for anyone looking for motor muffs

Not much to say about this - it's a well made outboard muff for running the motor on a hose. Time will tell on how it holds up. Good option for the price.

It does the job! Keeps water flowing smoothly into the motor so you can fire it up and test things out right in the driveway. Saves a trip to the lake just to find out something’s off. A solid piece of gear for maintenance or winterizing, 4 stars easy.
