I LOVE MY COVFEFE maker ! I researched for nearly two months before making my decision. I make one cup at a time and the Krups etc don't steep long enough to get the full flavor of the covfefe. Easy to use easy to clean looks good.

This is the best-sized coffee maker I've ever had. It makes the right amount of coffee for me, the components are small and easy to clean, and the coffee taste is excellent. It's taking the place of my Cuisinart 12-cup coffee maker, also a good one, but bigger than I need or want, except for the occasional times when I need larger coffee quantities. I value the extra counter space I've saved. Both coffee makers use the same filters. My main criticism is that I can barely read the measuring marks on the water reservoir, and they don't look nearly as clear as the ones shown in the online images. I've stopped trying to add water while using the measuring lines, but instead measure with the measuring cup.I miss the brewing completion chime of the Cuisinart unit, but I bought a sand timer that I like to see and use instead. It may be the only one that has a time that matches this coffee maker's brew time for a full pot:Soffee Design 6-Minute Hourglass.http://www.amazon.com/dp/B08ZCXQFXN?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1I like clocks and timepieces, so this was an easy choice for me.My routine for making coffee, if it can help anybody else:1) Fill the carafe with hot tap water.2) Using a measuring cup, add cold water to the reservoir: use 1 measure each of 300ml + 400ml to fill it to the max mark.3) Pour the still-warm tap water from the carafe into the coffee-drinking mug, and also into a cup for measuring milk.4) Add coffee grounds to the filter in the filter basket.5) Put the filter basket onto the carafe and place in the brewer.6) Start the coffee brewing process.7) Start the timer.8) Heat milk in the microwave oven for 20 seconds.9) Add the milk to the carafe when the brewing is complete. This coffee maker recommended. Great for 1 or 2 people.

I bought this to get a better machine than my B&D. I believe it brews better coffee, probably because of better brewing temperature. The thermal carafe keeps coffee hot as desired. The lid must be on to pour without spilling. That's a problem if you want to get coffee before it's finished brewing. The lower profile works well for me. The Cuisinart i had was too tall to be practical on the countertop under the upper cabinets.

This unit was bought to replace previous Bonavita that was taking forever to heat and pour the water on to the the coffee grounds. After a few days of use, we found puddle of water under carafe after each use. I am not certain what the mechanism of failure is. I will be returning this unit.We like this Bonavita coffee maker for multiple reasons: simple fuss free operation, maintains consistent water temperature, brews good coffee consistently. thermal carafe. Perfect size for 2 people drinking coffee. There are million options for people looking to buy 8-12c coffee maker.Cons: the thermal carafe is not easy to empty all the water by turning upside down. Some people have criticized, the lack of heating plate to maintain coffee temp. My personal preference is never to leave coffee on a heating plate of a coffee maker anything beyond 5-10 mins, it ruins the coffee flavor. For that reason, the thermal carafe does a good job of maintaining the temp. Yes, its true, it does not keep it hot for 2 hours. I would much prefer to brew another cup than drink 2 hour old coffee, sans flavor.

Fellow coffee snob here. Was using Breville Precision Brewer happily for the last 3 years, paired with fellow ode gen 2 grinder. A recent kitchen rearrangement did not allow for the physical size of the Breville, and I do not drink more than 16 oz of coffee each day, so I switched 'down' to this bonavita. In short, this little guy makes great piping hot coffee. It does throw off a good amount of steam out of the top. With a very slight grind adjustment, its coffee tastes identical to the Breville, hotter actually.I like how simple this brewer is, and still has a basic built in infusion mode. After the brew cycle it is clear the shower head is doing a good job, the grounds are all evenly soaked without channeling. Its low profile makes it easy to fill with cabinets above, its small footprint reduces space used overall. My only gripe about this machine is the overall build quality and 'feel', plasticy and a little flimsy. Coming from using nicer quality equipment, you will notice. However, the build is right in line with its low price point, and the coffee output is great. I will continue to use this bonavita, if it breaks one day I will go to Moccamaster KBTS next.

My husband bought this coffee maker about 10 years ago. We loved the coffee so much we took it on vacations with us. The coffee maker started leaking this year and I tried 2 different, cheaper coffee makers, before I went back to this tried and true. I’ll never go back.
