No batteries are required as the magnetic floating spacer powers the wheel's core to light up when they spin. All you have to do is roll and your wheels light up as you skate with a bright neon glow!

HISTORY
Bont was founded in Sydney in 1975 when Inze Bont, a recreational speed skater decided to fiberglass the back of his leather speed skates to gain more support. Bont was the first footwear manufacturer to use exotic material like fiberglass in 1974, Kevlar in 1986 and Carbon Fiber in 1989, and the first to use heat moldable resins and thermoplastics. In the 1980's Bont dominated the quad racing scene with the lightest and strongest boots on the market thanks to our unique one-piece manufacturing technique. Bont was the first quad skate company to use lace covers, velcro, and aluminum strengtheners in the boots.

Caution: These wheels will get you attention!!!! These are the best looking light up wheels that I have found because to look at them when not in motion you cannot see the inside LED light components like most other light ups. It's like a great surprise when you take off!! There are so many beautiful color choices too!! You just can't go wrong with any of them! I initially bought the white. They are so bright and honestly are like headlights for your skates!!🤣 I love them so much I just purchased this set in blue! I would love to get all of the colors eventually so that I can mix and match them for whatever mood I'm in. These wheels also give you a great smooth ride whether you are outdoors on pavement or indoors on a wooden floor rink. They are very versatile. I do have to say, it is a little tough to get 8mm bearings in when you get them, but they will fit. You just need to apply some real force (NOT INCLUDED so don't forget to order those too). Oh, and make sure that you leave in the magnetic spacer in that comes with them. It is what makes the light up feature work! Overall, I think you will be just as happy with your purchase as I am! Go ahead, get them already!! 😁😁😁

These hybrid wheels are great. I use them mainly for outdoors. Soft enough to roll over cracks and debris. A great quality wheel. I often get compliments on the lighted wheels.

I absolutely love these wheels. I initially got them because I liked the novelty of the light-up feature. After skating on them, however, the light-up feature is secondary to my happiness of the smoothness of the ride I get on them. I use these wheels inside my large living room on large format porcelain tile (like semi-polished cement) with small grout lines and they are the absolute perfect durometer for this surface for spins, one-foot turns, and other footwork requiring a combination of grip and slickness. This is actually my 2nd pair of these wheels; I have them in green and now in blue. I feel like a kid again when I skate on them and, to me, that's priceless! I may have to get them in pink and white now, too!

I love these wheels! They are perfect for my late evening parking lot skating sessions. They roll over the cracks and rocks like a dream! And the lights in them are SO bright!! Now when I first installed my bearings I was upset to see thst only 2 wheels lit up with a third lighting up from time to time. However my husband took them off, and pressed the bearings in tighter and said he could feel them "click" and they all lit up perfectly after that! They just needed a little extra pressure to get them in nice and tight!

I wanted light up wheels for a night skate session and there isn't much selection right now, so I "settled" on these. I figured they would be good enough for one night.They were good enough, for sure. In fact, I was getting compliments all night long -- "What are those? Where did you get those???" Because they light up different from other wheels, more of an overall GLOW to the entire wheel. Really cool.At the same time, they are great just as wheels. Very smooth, VERY fast. And that's both outdoors and indoors, at the rink.I would recommend these without reservation to anyone. There is one weird thing to be aware of, though -- when I was putting in the bearings and getting the skates ready, I tested each wheel by spinning with my finger. About 3 out of 8 seemed to be defective. BUT THEY WEREN'T, there's just something about the design of these wheels that they only come to life when you're actually skating. Then it's glow glow glow.
