so useful! Yes title states that it for the purpose of holding a cookbook, but really, any book can be placed on this stand. What's especially nice is the acrylic piece that goes across the middle of the book to hold it in place so that you don't have to overly bend the spine of the book, plus being acrylic, you can still read the content of the book, without it being distracting.

I ordered this for a bookish window display. It simply slides together and is well made. It’s sturdy and will hold fairly large books. It includes an acrylic piece that helps hold the book open. It’s absolutely gorgeous and I’ve had so many people ask where we got it. Just lovely! This stand would make a beautiful gift for readers or cooks who use physical cookbooks. Highly recommended!

I like this a lot and in fact am purchasing this for the second time. I found with my first one that it was not suited for really heavy books, or it will crack. I love the look of this book stand and will be more careful. This is really nice!

This is made of very thick very clear acrylic. It gets fingerprints on it very quickly but it is actually quite attractive. Using it to display an open photo album and it feels very sturdy.

I am so glad I bumped into this book holder in the kitchen section. I was not specifically looking for this holder, but I do have a problem in my kitchen keeping thicker cookbooks above the food mess, and the pages open to where I need them to be. It was likely the paper weight that came with the stand that had me do a double-take because the pages often do their own thing if not held down. So I ordered it knowing all of its special features, but it did not hit me until I took it out of the box today just how gorgeous the stand was in hand. The thick acrylic is perfectly cut at the exact angle so that the two parts of the holder fit together seamlessly. I am looking forward to trying it out soon, and I already think these holders would make excellent gifts for the right person at the holidays. The acrylic stand is not just great for the kitchen, but anywhere books and papers need a helping hand.

I got this to put my dictionary on display and it fits perfectly. It's thick and durable, rests well and the clear piece that sits on top is functional with no cloudiness at all. Very good for what you pay for it
