These books are sturdy! The lined and numbered pages are easy to work on. It's super reliable! It's totally worth it for your notes! It's great if you like hardcover notebook.

Over the past several decades, the company I work for has used hundreds of these Boorum and Pease record books. My review is based on what this is today and what they used to be with the fact of having far more data points than the average user ever will.Over the past 5-10 years, there has been a steady decline in quality that is more than noticeable. The company has obviously encountered at least one acquisition and sadly, there's evidence of profit above quality as the top goal. As they've shifted production from Canada, to the USA, and now finally to China, there have been changes along the way to devalue these books for us.First was the binding and corner protectors they used to wrap them with. Now they're more plastic feeling, thinner, and they've changed the process they apply it with the black covering now as the top layer - the book also flexes more than it used to. The sewn binding appears to be changed little, but it appears different for certain - although this is likely very minor. The pages used to be nice and thick and ink bleed proof. If you're a fountain pen user, think twice now if you're looking to replace an older one in your possession. Everyone knows the paper is what separates a quality book from inferior ones and it is astounding how much thinner the book is now compared to the many we have around from years back - by far the biggest complaint.I cannot say how the newest version will hold up long-term yet, but I do know we have countless other brands we've tried that have fallen apart (duct-tape is your savior), so time will tell. I think it's still better than many other offerings on the market but that's not a positive comment when this was the gold standard. I do know though that for the sacrifices made and still being sold for a premium price, I'll certainly start looking at the competition.

I write novels that is my career and personally I prefer to write my novels down by hand via pen and paper before typing for my second draft and after using all of my pre bound books up a few months ago I was searching for a nice pre bound sturdy book to hold my novels.Then I came along this book and it is perfect! Great size and looks elegant on any bookshelf, I would recommend it to anyone

The account book had enough pages but the bad thing was that the book was too small. Could have made it better :/

I received a 150 page record book rather than the 300 page record book that I ordered. There is a significant price difference in the two. I did not have the advantage of time to send the incorrect order back to be replaced with the correct order. hence the extra charge for expedited delivery. When feedback provided previously, no response received. Very disappointed.

I fully agree with the other reviewers. Excellent quality and just the right size for meetings. I'm on my 3rd one and just ordered my 4th.

I use this journal for work. I carry it to every meeting so that I have my notes with me at all times. I find it to be very sturdy. I can hook my blackberry and a pen to the cover. Its a convenient size to be carrying around all day, not too large and heavy like some journals, and not so small that I need a new one every 6 months. Its a little expensive for a journal, but I find it worth the money, and I got a great price on Amazon!
