I purchased the Bosch BC906 pads for my 2007 Toyota Avalon. I went to install a pair & noticed they appeared to have different thicknesses of pads. I had two pads with 9mm thick braking material and the other was 7.4mm thick material. I couldn't find anything online to see if it was intentional and found nothing. I am returning the pads as all I could find online indicated pads should be 10mm to 12mm thickness. I went to Autozone and bought their pads which had 11mm thick pad material.Would not buy these again.

I've used these pads on a different vehicle before, but they're still the same good quality. Only makes a small squeak every once in a while, but I feel confident that's my fault for missing lubricant in a small spot.

I am very impressed with these Bosch brake pads. Well made, very quiet, no brake dust, and great stopping power. I would use these again without hesitation. Well done Bosch, and the price is far below the junk at the usual parts store with the performance of high end.

Update: Changing from 2 stars to 4 stars. After a few months of driving, these are good pads; very quiet with good stopping power. I am still subtracting one star since the shim plates were loose and falling off, although I was able to bend the tabs so they stayed on more securely. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars.Original: My reason for the two star rating is the shim plates on all the pads are loose and fall off. The shim plate is supposed to clip onto the pad with its spring tabs, but the tabs on the ones I received are bent. I think I can bend them back into shape without damaging them further, but then again I shouldn't have to.If these pads really impress me after I've installed them yet, I will update this review accordingly.

Two years ago my brakes were replaced by an independent servicer. I replaced my tires by a warehousemembership store, and was advised to double check my front end alignment, so I took it back to the same independent servicer I used before. Besides the front brake pads being bad again, There were a number of other issues that should have been noticed on the previous service. Also, during the two year time, the front pads made a squealing noise. I decided to replace the pads myself. I found the servicer had put in the cheapest pads they could find, and REUSED the same bad backing plates instead of replacing them. These new pads have multi-layer "built-in" backing plates. Not only is there no noise, but the braking is smooth and responsive. Not much more to pay for quality! I wish that Bosch would have included the wear "squeakers" that install to the new pads, but no biggie. I will buy again.

Bosch BC906's for my 2010 Toyota Siena... front. I put these on at 80k miles with two new rotors. They have been running great with no issue for a month now. The metal stamp for the pads was identical and fit well. I probably should have ordered a clip set just in case I needed it. My Toyota has clips you need to move on the pad, plus the guide set in with the caliper. The only thing I looked at for a while before deciding what option to pick was the shims. The Bosch shims for my vehicle were no where near the same shape or quality of the Toyota original. First, they were as pictured... fine, but they did not come close to matching the size of any of the notches that might hold the shim in place and keep it from floating out from under the caliper. That being said, I will attach a picture showing that the Toyota shim obviously floated out of place as the pad wore even though it is the same size as the pad. The Toyota shim had a vary pronounce layer of rubber you could see in several places. The cut of the toyota shim had the clips for the shim matching the cuts in the pad. I live in a non-salt climate so I opted to re-use my old shims (with the what appear to be stainless steal inner lining). The are not hard to get to if I need to swap them out and I will pay more attention to my shim options next time I replace the pads.
