This simple bracket does one thing, and it does it very well: it adapts one 2.5" disk drive or SSD to fit into computer drive bay designed to accommodate a 3.5" disk drive. It will accommodate either a spinning hard disk drive or a 7mm to 9mm thick SSD, which is mounted to holes in the bottom of the drive and adapter using the included screws.I recently replaced the 3.5" system disk in one of my computers with an SSD for faster performance and lower power consumption, and it nestled into place effortlessly using this adapter.Easy 5 stars - if you need it, you need it!

This will not work for WD high capacity NAS drives. The screw holes are too close together. It will work for WD blue drives and other low capacity drives.I drilled my own to make it work. But how hard would it be to add these in the manufacturing process?
