Would have loved if these boots were wider.Materials and workmanship were very good for the price.Had such a hard time getting them on and knew they would never break-in that much.

They fit well if you can get them on, but the right foot won't fit so I stopped wearing them money pissed away.

I ended up replacing the arch buckles with brass ones I scavenged from an old purse. The original buckles were sub standard IMO, and one of them broke soon after I received the boots.Otherwise not bad for the price, except for the loose fit.

I had owned three Red Wing Engineer Boots size 10.5. These boots were up to a full size too large. Also, If you chose to make a return The Customer is responsible for the $6 return fee. I was considering an exchange before I read that there will be a $6 return fee.

My engineer boots arrived today. They seem to be well made. The sole is stiched right through the last and the heal is nailed on. Which is great because that means they can be rebuilt by a cobbler. The leather seems heavy but not to heavy that you have bricks on your feet. The inner sole is cheap but is obviously easily replaced. The heal feels a tad high but I think that’s just the poor inner sole not providing any arch support. The size is spot on for me. The heal had no slip and my foot went in the boot with out to much trouble. The stitching is well done and mostly double on all components. The buckles feel substantial and the straps are fine. The top of the boot has a nice curve to it that fit around the calf. The toe is a very nice shape. Not to flat or to bulbous but just right. I’ll updat the review in a few weeks once I’ve put some miles on themUpdate: 4 weeks of wear. They broke in after 3 days. No blisters. The leather has stayed in its intended form and has not creased in an uncomfortable or unattractive way. I have a little heal lift and that’s normal for engineering boots I believe, but it’s not uncomfortable in the way that’s results in you dragging your heals or shuffling in any way. I’ve been working in them and can see the soles are of good quality. I’m yet to find a replacement set of inner sole but I think these are very good for the money and I like them a lot3 month in and the leather is very soft. But they are affordable. The arch strap is definitely made from leather that’s to thin. The soles are holding up well and are really the saving feature of these boots.1 year in. Soles have held up really well. I never did replace the inner soles but they are very comfortable now. The leather did get soft but they did hold their shape and stay a good looking boot. I’m a welder and I ride motorcycles so I really used the heck out of these boots. For the price the build construction is excellent and I’d buy these again but I think these will last a few more years easily and knowing my luck they will discontinue making them by then.
