Finally! I have tried about 4 other brands of this type of USB-C XLR mic input but none of them worked! This one works perfectly, easiest way possible to connect an SM58 to my MacBook Pro. Works perfectly after aiming the input to the USB C Audio input of this device. The signal levels seem to be pretty much spot on. Highly recommended for when a full mic-preamp setup is not desired. One cable does it all!

For Pixel 6 Pro, which I use.....For recording live sound, I use an AKG condenser mic with a preamp; it has XLR output. From Amazon I bought this adapter, "CableCreation XLR to USB C 3ft, XLR Female to USB Type C Professional Recording Audio Cable". I plugged my XLR out from the mic preamp into the adapter cable (XLR female), then plugged the other end (USB-C male) into the Pixel. It worked first time. I got the message "External mic detected.... go to camera (video) settings" which I did, where I set the audio input to external mic.... no problem, super slick.... .

The cable works perfectly, and it has enough length to be helpful.The primary purpose is to use the cable with a Shure Beta 58 to capture interviews with an iPad.

Definitely a well-made quality cable. I like that it can be used to record what is going inside of the mixer. It is put inside of the output channel instead of the input channel like I originally thought it would be like. It functions well. The cable isn’t too thick. It is kinda flimsy but I am sure it will last a long time if not bent a lot. The sound quality is good. It sounds professional enough. I would definitely recommend it. I am trying to see how it would work with live-streaming audio.
