Calcite/Corosex Mix: Naturally-occurring mineral rock consisting of approximately 95% calcium carbonate and 3% magnesium carbonate.
Used to raise pH of acidic water Acidic waters on contact with Calcite slowly dissolve the calcium carbonate media to raise the pH which reduces the potential leaching of copper, lead and other metals found in typical plumbing systems.

This seller has this item marked as Calcium Corosex (Calcite-calcium carbonate + Flomag) but it's actually Calcite + Magnesium Carbonate. This means it reacts slower than Corosex which is better for water filtration cartridges that need to last a while. Calcium Corosex is better for filling hot tubs. So they should call this a water flitration alkalinizer and explain the applications but they don't.
