I ordered the stator for my 06 Yamaha v star 1100 it came in on time we easy to put in my only problem with it it that the voltage regulator quit working after one ride

I'll give 2 stars, because it did fit no problem, and did work for about 5 months. Luckily I have a volt meter on my bike and noticed it was pushing 17-19v while riding, and stopped riding before my battery was destroyed, or worse. You should rarely see over 14.5V at any time, let alone extended periods, as I was having.I should have listened to the people screaming to just buy OEM, but I thought I'd take a chance. No damage to the bike/battery, so I'm not "upset" live and learn. "Buy it nice, or buy it twice" definitely applies here.Just buy OEM and be done with it. No need to risk costly electrical repairs.

I had this parts professionally installed and within a week it burned my electrical system and burned the battery, $950 damage to my Yamaha vstar 1100DO YOU GET THIS
