I own a Cannon Explorer 230 paddle, which has 30mm OD aluminum tubing, which means the i.d. is about 27mm. This "T" paddle handle, as delivered, is supposedly designed for 30mm tubing, but it is actually LOOSE inside the female part of the paddle, and a bit too big to slip inside the maie part of the paddle. One flips the paddle down, and the "T" handle immediately falls out! It must have shrunk, after moulding in a nominally correct mold. Not well thought through by the manufacturer.I will go for the slightly more expensive Pelican unit, which as a push button release, to help lock it into place. Hopefully, it is more precisely engineered.

I replaced the t-handle on wife's canoe paddle with the H2o Kayaks Canoe T Paddle Handle. Perfect fit. Proud of my self, I held the paddle out to my wife. "You know", she said jokingly, "this handle is great. I could really give you a wallop with this!" I replied "You and what army?" The impact was so hard I saw stars, five stars. Just like the five stars for this product review.

I used these to make a canoe paddle out of a kayak paddle.The diameter of the handle was too big, so I shaved it down to a tight fit and put in a little self tapper.They were great for the job and I'd definately buy them again.

We ended up having to fight a bit to get it into the handle. I think it would be a little nicer if the inserted part was tapered a little. But it should be easy enough to file it down or grind some off on a bench grinder and make your own taper.

Just what I needed after buying the long double 2 piece paddle for my canoe, slots in nicely giving you the option of a shorter paddle. I would recommend this product to anyone.
