I bought this carburator to replace a non working carb on my craftsman chainsaw and it was easy to install and adjust. My chainsaw runs like brand new. I am very happy with this purchase and recommend it to all my friends.

To start with I was having a lot of trouble with the chainsaw kept adjusting the carb and cleaned it out and soaked it. I should have just started with this I didn't even have to adjust it it started and it's been running since I know now the few little dollars this carburetor costs is way worth it compared to the hours I spent messing around with the old one. Just make sure before you change the carb take a picture of how it's set up it's actually pretty easy to mix up the fuel lines seeing as how they're identical. It took a little time to get the backflow filter inside the gas tank you have to feed it through and pull it out the bot the gas cap put it on then feed it back if you try to feed it from the gas cap in it it's too hard. I can tell you if you're having trouble with any of the listed compatible chainsaws and have to spend more than an hour trying to get it to run trust me just order this now the air filter that's included seems to let more air passage than the original which is a good thing. Second thing that's good is it comes with more than one spark plug and it's always a good thing to have a backup. The only reason I gave it four stars and not five is simply for the fact there was no suggestions on how to do it there should be some kind of advice on how you should install it and take a picture or something I wound up having to go to 30 different images of the carburetor and looking finding that one that shows me where they went so make sure you take a picture

Carburetor kit had all components advertised. Appeared to be good condition. However, did not fit my application as advertised. Poulan 1950 chainsaw. Primer fuel port opposite side of carb from OEM. Rests against throttle linkage interfering with movement making throttle inoperable. Would like to exchange but don’t know procedure.

I was excited to think I could fix up my old chainsaw with something this inexpensive. This new carburetor was a little different but all in all it went on and worked great. In fact, it was better than the original.

carb seems to be working great, but I had to reuse the old gasket between the carb and the motor. The kit came with two gaskets, but neither matched the original. I honestly don't know if either of the supplied gaskets would have worked... I don't think so, but don't know for sure. Also, the fitting/pipe that goes to the primer bulb has a bend in it on the new carb. The old carb didn't have that, but that was not a problem. There was a rubber dust cover that was over what I think is the throttle adjust screw and the low and high lean/rich adjusting screws. That dust cover didn't seem to fit the new carb, but it's not effecting the operation of the saw.My chainsaw is a 1998 model Craftsmen 2.6cid/42cc, 18in model 358. 3501180 serial number 98252D301628. family WPWES. 0424CS EM. The markings on the old carb were Walbro 823 WT391

Excellent replacement carb kit for my Poulan Woodshark model 1950. Used all parts, chainsaw started right up, ran and idled great. Replacing the fuel line was challenging, the molded holes in the plastic frame of the saw was a very tight fit for the thicker fuel line. YouTube has a fishing line trick to help route the lines where need be. Air filter housing required a little modification to allow clearance of the choke linkage. Easy to do, some kits come with a replacement air filter holder already molded to allow clearance but I couldn’t find it so I modified mine. Bought this kit plus two replacement caps for bar oil and fuel. Well worth $25 total for all and a little time spent. New life for my 10 year old $109.00 Home Depot chainsaw! Very pleased.
