Good item. This is my second one purchasing (you need different ones for different animals). Used to clean around the eyes of our cats

Great as comb BUT TERRIBLE AS FLEA COMB!The teeth are too thick to pick up small fleas.(Too bad; because otherwise well made.)

I'm fighting the annual end of summer flea infestation so I need a good flea comb for my pets. I use this comb on my Chihauhaus as well. Chihuahuas do not have thick coats as a rule but one of mine does. He has a really thick undercoat and this works like a charm on it. It's very sturdy unlike those cheap plastic combs which I have been gifted and thrown away. The teeth are strong and don't bend when used on tangled fur. It even picks up flea dirt so I don't get the reviews that say it misses fleas. Gets a ton of fleas for me. On both cats and my dogs. I can't speak for all dogs. I can't even complain about the price so I gave this a big five star review.

This comb has a rubbery grip and it's very comfortable to use. The prongs are strong and sturdy. Way better than the one I bought at Walmart and pet center.

Magnificent comb for fleas I have to cat, I used it from time to time and no cons to report just the handle is different, but considering what it's for I believe is the perfect size and make.

I love using this. So happy to get fleas off my cats. Unfortunately I get deer passing through my yard & even sleeping in it. I think that's where my cats pick up the fleas. I use Frontline type stuff & have flea bombed but still my cats show up with them. This comb is a great supplement.Anyway, took me a bit to get a technique for using the comb. I'd read that flea combs catch the fleas in their tines & hold them. Maybe that's just not true (if so, let me know). Anyhow this comb doesn't do that. Instead the flea ends up sitting on top of the tines and very quickly will jump off back onto the cat if you aren't watching close & able to grab it with your other hand. At least that's what I end up doing. So you have to comb towards you holding it sort of parallel to the cat. But it does seem to get even tiny fleas & I have time to catch almost all before they can jump away. Now I just wish I can find a more permanent solution besides locking the cats inside...

I use this for all-around grooming, too. It doesn't seem to bother the pets (like a slicker brush can), and because of the handle, I can get an even distribution of pressure. Bought a similar comb with a long handle, and it caused me to exert too much pressure on one side or the other, causing pain for my pets. But not with this comb! Can't find this type in the stores anymore, so I was thrilled to find it on Amazon.

I have five rescue cats with coats ranging from short to medium in length. I've tried many kinds of combs, but this product is the best! Just a few easy strokes loosens the fur, and then I get good results with every combing. The cats don't seem to mind it at all, but I usually give them a treat afterwards, so they get real patient real quick! Fleas are not a problem for us, but the depth of the comb and the small space between tines would catch most of the critters if you are in a high flea population area! The short handle makes for more precise strokes. I highly recommend this comb for all small animals, not just cats!

Having survived an almost catastrophic flea infestation, during which he lost a quarter of his body weight, and developed anemia as a result of the blood loss, my cat, Velcro, surely saw this product as a godsend. Eliminating the fleas was frustrating, and emotionally draining, but, once done, I resolved to prevent a recurrence. Velcro gladly accepts the grooming this product provides, and any fleas can be easily seen by holding the comb up to the light, since they immediately begin an attempt to wriggle away. Even without my glasses, I was able to see the last stragglers, and quickly douse them in a container of water. Now, the flea comb is part of our daily routine, and both Velcro and I are glad it is.

This flea comb works great! I have seen fleas on my cat and I use this comb to get them out and it works. The teeth are thick and spaced just right to trap fleas and other debris between them. I have even used it on places my cat is scratching himself and found fleas without even seeing them. This item has a great price and has great function.
