Bought 2. Just like the reels the quality is low. We will see how long it lasts. Neithr of the bolts that came with them for. Had to use the original ones.

Catfish Pro Tournament Series Power Handle for 600CTSI've tried other power handles on my 5500c, 5500c3, 6500c and 6500c3, mostly from inexpensive Chinese sources. The problem with these cheaper power handles is quickly realized when you go to do a powerful cast. An off-balanced or heavy handle will cause the reel to trigger and engage the handle. This is a very frustrating condition, and unless the specific reel from Abu was FACTORY shipped with a Power Handle, the standard double paddle reels mostly all suffer this problem when using cheaper power handles. I've had to switch back to stock double paddles.Why is that bad? As you can imagine, when you have several ounces of LEAD weight, and other terminal tackle (I'm a catfisherman, so my loads are usually 3-10oz,) and the reel engages mid-cast--say goodbye to that tackle as they fly off--the line snaps, the tackle is now a free projectile. This can actually be very dangerous--imagine a 4oz piece of lead flying through the air with some velocity! Sounds a lot like a bullet, right? Exactly! Not literally, a bullet, but hopefully you get it.There's been another company out there producing premium handles that don't exhibit this problem, even on older Abu reels. This Catfish Pro Tournament Series handles resembles one of those 'other' handles but is 25% cheaper. Worth a shot, right?I've mounted onto initially onto a mid 80's Abu 5500 C3, which will be the most demanding test for this handle. This reel is particularly sensitive and I've not yet found a workable power handle it. It it works on the 5500C3, it'll work on the 6500c/c3 for sure.Great News! On the 5500c3, the handle performed flawlessly! Not a single premature engagement, all casts were magnificent. I really unloaded too, with STRONG casts. I may not be a competitive distance caster, but I've gotten comfortable with these reels and can hold my own. As expected, it also worked great on the older 5500C and my 6500C3 and C.Permanently, this test handle will live on the 5500c3, since it's the most finicky of my reels.Check out the pictures, the handle looks great. Catfish Pro--if you start doing a blue annodized handle, let me know. It'd look spectacular on this rig!
