I only gave it a 4-star for style points and features. It is super cute and fits in well with my mid-century modern décor. That said, the built-in speakers do not produce good sound. I used the Bluetooth feature to connect it to my surround sound. Bonus points for the LED Time display and because you move the "needle arm" over the cd to make it play like an old-school turntable. Please note the size of the machine....quite small.

My son is starting get into collecting cds and really likes this little cd player. Audio quality is decent and battery life is great the only drawback is that we have yet to get the Bluetooth feature to work. It doesn’t connect any of his devices to listen to with his headphones or iPods. That’s the only reason for the three stars I wanted something with BT for him. I guess the search continues.

Great gift or conversation starter that really works in playing CDs with a form factor inspired by old school records. Even better, it takes up way less space than an actual record player. Came with all the cables and tools needed.

Overall, I am pleased with this CD player. It is functional and cute and consumes less shelf space than the small Sony boombox that it replaced for background comfort in my bedroom. Unfortunately, the speakers don’t perform quite as well as one might expect, given the size of the speaker grills. I haven’t looked behind the speaker coverings to inspect the size of each speaker, nor do I intend on so doing. However, I expected just a little more fullness to the sound, a touch more bass.The volume range is reasonable, however. And I am aware that I can pair a nicer Bluetooth speaker(s) to it to enjoy better audio. However, I ordered this player to use standalone. Having mentioned its Bluetooth capability, I will add that this little player has some nice features. In addition to Bluetooth, it has input for a small cable port to plug in an auxiliary device, a standard size usb port, a clock display, and an alarm clock. However, that being said, the instructions could be better presented. I did fiddle around with the clock settings because I like having time displays around the room, but I stopped short of setting an alarm because, frankly, my laser focus dissipated as I tried to understand the instructions. It could have been the late hour. Maybe, I’ll try when I’m more rested and have a break from more pressing matters.In conclusion, this is a great little gadget if you, still, listen to CDs. If you prefer to up your audio game, pair it with a nice Bluetooth speaker and it just might satisfy a pseudo-audiophile.Blessings

This Retro Styled Portable CD Player has cool looking , retro record player styled look, so it has a nice novelty item quality going for it. It works, and plays CD's, and if you're looking for this novelty look, and to just play some light background music in an office, or to play audio books, or podcasts,etc., using the bluetooth feature, it would be good for that, but if you're looking for premium, high quality, room filling sound, this is not it. This player is small, and the small speakers are built into it, so you're just not going to get amazing sound quality out of something this size, at this price point. It's not the worst I've ever heard though, and it does have a headphone jack, so it's possible that you could connect some bigger, better quality shelf speakers to it, and you might get a better quality sound. I don't have any shelf speakers to test with it, so I can't verify that. It's a very cool looking little cd player though.
