The strainer was a bit large, but it does was it's supposed to do - strain the water from the spaghetti. It's not all that sturdy where the metal rim meets the mesh so not so sure it will last multiple years like my last one. But the price point was good so not a concern. It is very light for it's size and easy to maneuver. It has a nice long handle which is great.
