Tiles are great. A corner of the case split the first time I held it by the handle. One corner of 3 of the trays in the case have also split. Doesn't seem out of the ordinary for mahjong cases, though. It was the cheapest set with the biggest tiles and my family had fun throughout the holidays playing

Please be aware that this set is only for the traditional Chinese version of Mahjong.As it does not contain jokers, it cannot be played for American Mahjong.The set also contains the bigger size of tiles, so it will require larger racks.But it’s a beautiful piece and excellent for color blind people as the red and green dragons are very distinctive.

I am absolutely thrilled with my purchase of the mahjong set! The estimated delivery was scheduled for just after Easter, but to my delight, it arrived early—just in time for our family dinner gathering. I had ordered the set specifically to enjoy with my 91-year-old mother, and it brought her so much joy to be able to play that evening.I selected the blue tile set along with a matching blue mat, and both exceeded my expectations in terms of quality. What truly stood out was the instruction booklet—it was not only beautifully designed and printed on premium paper, but also exceptionally well-written, making it easy to understand the game.I highly recommend both the mahjong set and the mat. Bought this as a fun family night game. This is very heavy to carry and the carring box does seem flimmsy unsure how it will hold up over time. The tiles look just like the image. Overall I am pleased with the purchase.

The overable usability and the tiles are good. The only drawback is the quality of container/bag which is not that strong and two of the boxes that hold the tile in the bag were already ripped. However, I'm keeping it since it's a hassle to return and I'm only going to use it during occasion anyway.

I spent so much time looking for a set for Chinese Mahj and I'm so glad that this is the one I purchased. I already have two sets for American Mahj but I wanted a set with large tiles exclusively for Chinese play. I'm so glad I didn't get hung up with all the complaints about the size of the tiles. They're described as 1 and 1/2 inches. I measured mine and they are 1 and 5/12th of an inch - that's only 1/12th of an inch smaller than 1 and 1/2 inches and that is perfectly fine with me. I have no problem rounding up 1/12th of an inch. It probably makes it easier for people to picture the size when it's described as 1 and 1/2 rather than 1 and 5/12ths.The lettering, ink and pictures are perfect. I ordered it in blue and every one of the tiles are perfect on both sides - no scratches or smudges. There are Arabic numbers on the characters and letters on the winds so that will be helpful when teaching new players.The case is just fine. I've already taken the set of tiles in the case to friends' homes and it's holding up just fine. I don't hold it by the handle because it is very heavy and I can see where over time the case might not hold up well but I don't see that happening any time soon.The VALUE is remarkable. The price is so reasonable and the tiles are so beautiful.

The tiles are better than I expected. I’m a beginner, so I love that all the tiles come numbered. It makes it so much easier to teach new players.As the reviews stated, the rules booklet is written in poor English and not useful at all, but I’ve been learning online anyway so I didn’t mind.The carrying case is nicer than some of the reviews I read. I actually get compliments on it. Is it super sturdy? No. Will it hold the tiles if you’re careful and take care of your set? Yes.Overall, a great set for new and experienced players. Totally recommend!

I was searching everywhere for tiles that had a yellow back and had Arabic numbers to help me know what tile was what number! These tiles are beautiful and worth every penny :) As others have said, the case is not the best, but for the money I think this was a great purchase :) There size is also perfect for playing.

Our family had a wonderful holiday during the traditional Chinese Spring Festival. Really good quality mahjong, feel good. We play mahjong together for a while after dinner every day, which is really fun, fun, and exercise our brains. love it. The only downside is that the box is not strong enough and the edges are a little cracked. Since mahjong is heavy, I think it can be equipped with a more sturdy box.
