This tree collar skimps on the hardware needed to put it together. While the hook is metal, the manufacturer has gone with rattan loops instead of eyes to hold the sections. It would be a flimsy connection at best, but it is difficult to thread the hook through the opening. On the collar I received some loops had separated making assembly even harder. I returned the purchase.

I really like this new Christmas tree collar instead of skirt trend. Not only does it look great, but it allows me to easily hide the electrical plug for the lights and keep my daughter from snooping around the tree base. Also kept my dog from sniffing around that area too. I ordered several different tree collars and really liked all of them. This one was slightly tricky to connect the last piece, but most of them are like that. The pale color really went with the beachy vibes I was going for with the tree this accompanied (I setup about 4 different trees this season: my living room, our beach rental, my parents beach house and my brother’s apartment). I really like that this breaks down into pieces and is therefore really easy to store. My sister’s tree collar is a full on bulky contraption that takes up a lot of storage space and you have to set in place before the tree. Since this one comes in pieces, I’m able to place around the tree after decorating and store in a small box.

I wanted a tree collar for my new flocked tree. This fit the bill exactly. Good price, very well made, super easy to put together. This is a 7.5 ft tree and collar fits beautifully. Got the light up star in Amazon too!

The rattan seems high-quality and I saw no flaws on arrival. The product is attractive in use.It is easy to assemble and it is GREAT that it breaks down for storage. I have always considered a tree skirt like this, but they take up so much space. This fixes that problem.
