The Semi Recessed Emergency Light features two fully adjustable ultra-bright 7.2 Watts MR-16 halogen lamp heads standards. The high-performance MR-16 halogen lamps features smooth metalized reflector and glass lens for maximum light distribution.
  • BATTERY – The fully automatic solid state two rate charger initiates battery charging to recharge a discharged battery in 24 hours and has 6V maintenance-free, rechargeable sealed lead acid battery. Ciata Emergency Light features an Internal solid-state transfer switch that automatically connects the internal battery to lamp heads for minimum 90-minutes of emergency illumination in the state of a power failure and Low Voltage Disconnect (LVD) prevents battery from deep discharge.

These units use a small battery pack consisting of 3 AA NiCad batteries (they are not lead-acid). They were very easy to install and they work as described. They cover a very wide area with light, however I'm using them outdoors and it would be nice if they were brighter. Nonetheless, if the power goes out at night, they are bright enough that I can walk out onto my driveway and see well enough without needing a flashlight, which is what I needed. The test button on the bottom of the unit is a nice thing. The battery pack is replaceable, however it would be nice for the manufacturer to make it more obvious where I can order replacement batteries. They don't appear to be available on Amazon nor the manufacturer's website. Annoying.Overall I'm happy with the product and I would buy it again.

item came prompt but one light did not work on one of the items purchased. returned hassle free and the item that i returned was replaced and worked. someone skipped quality control

There is no room for conduit fitting to enter into the back of this and put the front back on
