Buy them if you want some help spicing up your in game NPC encounters. Solid black die, easy to read. Instant random race, class & alignment. Creates NPC's swiftly. No thought required ...except why your party has run across them.Upon the Sea of Swords I rolled a NG Dragonborn Druid after I rejected my initial LE dwarf roll. Because duh, high seas.Worked him in as an oversized sea turtle waving at them. Magic shimmering he changed into a dragonborn off to visit his mermen friend's city. My party has a dragonborn fighter & 2 druids. The PC crew was lost at sea after a very hard storm. The Druid visited aboard and pointed out the incorrect way to the purple isles. It was an honest mistake. It was a good encounter. My players really enjoyed it. I would not of thought of It without the dice prompt.

Cool easy to read dice that are an easy way to roll up a character when you otherwise aren't sure what to run. They're clear and easy to read, seem balanced enough for what they are.For the price point I would like to see them etched, but that's difficult with the symbols on them. As they are I've noticed some of the ink scratching off with very limited use, which makes me worried about long term use. Thus the deduction of a star. They are the only dice I own that I have that concern about.

Pros:- Do exactly what they are suppose to do, roll the dice and *tada*, meet your new character. Give them a name and fill out the sheet.-Gives you the race, class, allignment- Easy to read and understand what each side means- Fun to see the randomization of what may come.- Good Looking dice with black and white tones.- All dice fit well in the bagCons- Bag gets dirty easily- Not all classes are available only the base in most cases (would love additional sets with more classes and races)Conclusion:Is this a necessary purchase? No. Is it a worthwhile purchase. Absolutely. If you’ve got the spare cash, do yourself a favor and get these. You won’t regret it.
