Adding a tablespoon of white vinegar will help decrease the odor. To sanitize headgear, combine rubbing alcohol and water in equal amounts in a spray bottle. Spray and wipe with a cloth. Ordered this product at the end of the season (March 2024). My son wanted this for next season to match his team. Went to his first meet this December 2024 and the chin strap would not stay fastened. I contacted customer service thinking they would replace and take back this product and they will not. So disappointing.
