I bought this XL climbing cargo net to repurpose as a DIY play net for my toddler, and it’s been a great addition to our backyard setup! The net is super sturdy, with thick ropes and secure knots that make it feel very safe. My toddler loves climbing, crawling, and swinging on it—great for building motor skills and burning energy.Only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that it’s definitely extra large—a bit tricky to install and needed trimming to fit our smaller play space. But once it was up, it became an instant favorite. Great value for a creative and durable play solution!

I have an 8yr and 14yr old boys who love outdoor activities. I've been searching for a net to add to our backyard obstacle course area as a "resting zone" and this is perfect! Based on reviews I had planned to add additional rope around the edge to reinforce the corner points. But once we started to hang it, we didn't feel it was necessary. Both boys are able to climb in it and chill out. Even my husband climbed in with my 8yr old this morning (about 280 pounds between them). Points to note, it is going to stretch out in the center. Hang the hooks about 4' higher than you want the center to be. We placed a set of wood stumps on the side to use to climb in. My kids wanted more of a hammock style set up and this worked for our needs being a 6' x 9' size. If you want a true taunt climbing space then you will need to pull and anchor the sides. My kids toes don't get stuck in the net- they have used barefoot and with shoes. We used 4 1/2" hooks (like you use for hammocks) and drilled into 4 trees. We used the loops that are on the net to attach to the hooks with one exception of adding rope to one end to reach the tree. For that point we used 550 rope to make a loop and attach the net loop to extend the reach to the tree hook. It's the perfect size for our needs, a good value for the price, easy to install, and looks like it will last. I do plan to remove it during the winter months to prolong the life. As long as the squirrels don't get interested in playing on it- it should last several seasons!

This net works great for the little ones, but once you get past 100 lbs, I wouldn’t trust it to hold up.That being said, we’ve found a fun way to use it—it’s become our go-to ball retrieval game! Toss the ball into the net, let it rebound, and see who can get the best shot. It’s been a hit with the kids, and honestly, it’s a fun twist on what we originally planned.The netting itself is thinner than some of the more rope-style options, but it’s a great size, easy to install, and priced well. Just keep in mind that it’s not built for heavy-duty climbing. If you’re using it for light play or creative games like ours, it does the trick!

As far as a safety net goes, we were going to put this on our home-made playground but it just feels 'cheap'.It works great for the toddlers, but anyone/anything over 100lbs I just don't trust it.The netting itself is smaller than some of the others that are more "rope".Great size! Good price on it! Easy to install! All great things, the only thing at all that has me worried is how thin the actual netting is and squares when larger kids get on it. But if that's all you're going to use it for, would definitely recommend!

This is one of the fun items that drops every so often. It's made of soft netting material, which is probably why it is rated for kids and not adults. However, the netting is strong enough to hold a pretty decent amount of weight but it is not made out of 550 cord, if you know what I mean. Black color is perfect, but the weak point is in the anchor points. With that being said, a slight modification and some common sense should make this do exactly what you want it to do. This is great for keeping in the back of the car as a portable hammock or hanging surface. Do mind that due to the size of it, it occupies a decent amount of space (about the size of a small melon or watermelon. It will fit easily in your trunk, and it is pretty heavy which is great for durability but not to great if you're thinking of using this as a hammock while hiking. Overall the product is great, likely to last for a VERY long time even when exposed to the weather, but this is not made out of paracord so if you're a larger adult, eat pre-workout, or are prone to fall injuries, go look for one of these made out of the stronger material. But if you're buying this for the kids they'll be extremely happy, and you're probably doing them a world of good by introducing a fun way to exercise (or nap), your mileage may vary.
