When you plug in the adapter you need to magically realize there is now a new drive available that has the drivers to be installed (NO instructions whatsoever) - otherwise it simply does not install correctly. Once the driver is installed, the adapter appears to be working correctly but shortly thereafter you realize it will only support the simplest graphic. Chrome, outlook, etc. causes instability. Tried all the resolutions available with poor results. Tried different monitors with poor results. Tried Windows 7 & 10 with same results. My first returned product to Amazon.

This device does exactly what I want it. I would never use a usb device to run a primary monitor, no video or games. The purpose of a device like this is to run an additional monitor to give you more work space. I use this monitor to display my notes while I'm working or playing games. I have two other monitors that run off my GPU for video, games, etc. This device did not work until I downloaded the software off of their website but the install took just a few seconds to perform. This works just as good as the last $60 usb to vga adapter I purchased for another setup up. I highly recommend this if you're looking for more work space!

Ts able tp show an image and used as extended not copy but the it alwaus looks blurry like low quality resolution.

The good - The adapter works.The bad - The adapter installs on Windows 10 using the built-in driver, which does not work with the adapter. If you read the post from the seller they will point to a download for another driver. It may have just been me but this driver crashed my system and forced me to reset my laptop. I had forgotten to remove the adapter and after re-installing the OS I noticed the adapter was showing on an external drive. That is where I noticed the drivers that are meant to be used with the adapter. Once I ran these the adapter worked just fine.Advice to the seller, take 5 minutes out of your day and write up installation instructions and also who and where to get help from. Make copies of this and include them with each sale of this adapter. You will see yor seller and product rating improve.

Have a new laptop but extra older flat screen monitor. Wanted to reuse instead of tossing. This old one worked just fine with my older laptop with VGA input, but needed a USB 3.0 connector. Hooked this one up, didn't work. Downloaded the manufacturer's driver suggested by the Q&A, worked just fine. Fiddled with the resolution, now it's as good as out of the box. Actually, this old display looks better than the one on my new laptop. Thanks!

Pros:- works under Windows 7 and 10 (with FL2000 drivers)- full resolution if plugged into a USB 3 portCons:- no linux/mac drivers- resolution limited to 800x600 (with weird colors) if plugged into USB 2While it performs adequately under Windows, I ended up returning this adapter due to the lack of linux support.
