Matched up with a new Goodyear serpentine belt when I had to replace the defective engine in my Equinox. Failed too early, No more GM for me. All normal wear parts (water pump, spark plugs, etc. were replaced with the salvaged engine. This idler is excellent quality.

This was the easiest of the three parts to replace from the kit but i did have to grind down the orginal washer some due to the smaller diameter of the pulley. After that it was a snap to install. I installed the bigger lip to the outside and didn't have any trouble slipping over the belt.

Good product, works "as advertised".I never had any problems with my belt slipping off my '96 Grand Caravan after installing this and the corresponding double-sided grooved belt.(This was a replacement pulley for the one that came with the tensioner I bought here earlier that I accidentally damaged while installing it.)

This is obviously a "universal" part meant to fit a variety of vehicles, and built to "close enough tolerances" to get away with it. NOT AN EXACT FIT! After replacing all the idler pulleys on my engine, one of the new replacements being this Goodyear pulley, I noticed a small belt squeak on cold starts. Since I had replaced all the accessory pulleys at the same time, I assumed that the squeak I heard was being caused by the A/C clutch dragging slightly when cold. Not so, I just pulled the accessory belt off and examined all the accessory pulley alignments. This pulley sits ever so slightly inside the running plane of the other pulleys, and is shaving off one side of the belt. This is not a one time manufacturing defect. I have a new, never installed and still in the box, duplicate of this pulley on the shelf. After comparing and measuring the offset on the two pulleys they are exactly the same. This tells me that this is a "universal" pulley sold as a replacement part for many different cars, and not the exact fit it should have been. No more Goodyear parts for me.Follow-up to my original review: I ordered an AC Delco Professional pulley from Amazon to replace the Goodyear Gatorback pulley reviewed above. Upon it's arrival I measured the offset on both pulleys. The Delco and the Goodyear were manufactured differently with different offsets. After installing the Delco pulley the accessory belt ran perfectly true, and in the correct plane with the other pulleys on the engine.

So I have a H2 Hummer that started squealing a couple years ago is I replaced the serpentine belt with a brand new OEM quality belt, it fixed the problem for about a week or two and started making a loud squeal again, mostly when it's cold but other times too. So I researched quite a while and ended up ordering a gatorback serpentine belt, gatorback idler pulley, and gatorback tensioner pulley for a complete rebuild of the belt system. So they got here fast and I popped the hood and went to work, they'll eyes are easy to install and need no press or pulley puller to remove them, there's also plates on the factory pulleys that don't fit the new pulleys but they aren't needed so it's not a big problem. After replacing the pulleys and the serpentine belt the squeal hasn't came back yet so, so far so good and no problems and its nice to not hear a loud squeal whenever we start up the vehicleBC

Bought the part to do preventative maintenance. Found out during the install it was the wrong part. Went to return the part and found out I missed the return date. Some things are still best purchased locally. Lesson learned.
