I have a battery charger and rechargeable batteries which has worked really well. However, I was looking for more traditional charging kit for my Xbox X. This has a very unique design that enables charging the controller like traditional play n charge kits. The kit is well made, comes with two different charing doors for Xbox X and S models.Best part is, unlike the PS5, this does not require a separate power source and works with the Xbox USB.While it works and great, couple of things to watch out for are:- The covers are all white. It would have been nice to have a black cover as now my controllers looks weird.- Seating the controller on the charger takes a bit of fiddling with the angle.

Note: There will be a video that says the same things that I will be saying in this review, so if you also want to see an assembly, take a look at that instead.I use an Xbox Series S with the base controllers. I play a lot of Marvel Rivals and Tekken 8, just for a bit of background.First Impression: There was a lot of paper padding inside of the Amazon box, so the package was very secure. There actually was more packaging than package. This is very good.Assembly: After taking the product outside of the Amazon box, I could instantly tell how light the charger was going to be. This probably was done to keep costs down, but if you happen to bump it, it definitely would move. After removing the tape, I was surprised by how packed the box was. It actually was somewhat difficult to get a hold of that flap and open it. Eventually, I got it open. Inside was the charger, two pairs of controller backs (one pair for the Xbox Series X/S, and the other for the One Series), a USB-C to USB-A cable, the charger of itself, a pair of batteries, and the manual. Like previously mentioned the charger was very light. It does look pretty cool though. After looking in the manual at the warning on how not to put the battery in the controller, I took the back off of my Xbox controller and briefly compared them. They look very similar, but the new one has an opening for the battery port. Then I inserted the battery. Despite having looked into the manual beforehand, I still ended up trying to put the batteries in the wrong way. Fortunately, the battery doesn't fit in that way, but I would advise that you look at the manual as you are inserting the battery to save yourself a bit of trouble. I tested to see if the battery had any charge, which it did. I did not check how much that it had. Next, I plugged the USB cable into the Xbox. Both the ports on the front and the back will work. I will note here that the USB C side of the cable had a nice, firm connection to the charger. It went far enough in so that even with time, it shouldn't get to loose in there. I placed both remotes on the charger (They both took about a half hour to reach full charge from whatever charge they were at before) and left.Functionality: The next day, I began testing the remote's battery life with the provided 3600Mh battery. I did not charge it between sessions, however, my testing did span over the course of 4 days. Like I said mentioned earlier on, I play Marvil Rivals and Tekken 8, but for testing I only played Marvel Rivals. Now this is the only shortcoming of this product. The battery life is advertised as 22.5 hours. I only got roughly 6 hours, which, to be fair, isn't necessarily bad, especially if you always put it on the charger when you aren't using it, but is still is only just over a quarter of what was promised. Now Marvel Rivals is a vibration heavy game, and I will admit I did intentionally make the vibration happen more often than usual. For example, I occasionally repeatedly click the button for Cloak's primary attack, which activates the strongest part of the vibration for that move repeatedly. I did the same for Captain America by running and stopping frequently while in the waiting room before the start of a match. Without doing that, or if you play a less vibration-heavy game, you should be able to get a little more battery life than I did.So to summarize: This is a good product for home use that also frees up those two pairs of AA batteries you were always using. It falls short on battery life, but you probably won't notice if you set the remote to charge whenever you are not using it. I would recommend this to someone else.

It comes with two 3600mWh rechargeable battery packs, the charger looks like a small speedboat sitting on my entertainment center. It’s compact and doubles as a neat little stand for the controllers when they are not in use. It keeps things tidy, before, our controllers were just sprawled across the couch. The charging process is smooth. There is this cute little indicator light up front that I’m kind of obsessed with. It glows red while charging and switches to a blue gamepad icon when they are fully charged. It’s such a clear way to know when they’re good to go.Now, the battery life on these packs is decent so far. We can get through a full Saturday of gaming, probably six or seven hours. It’s nice not having to rummage through drawers for batteries in the middle of a match.

It works - the only downside is the back covers coming in white (no other options). So... that's a cosmetic thing. Not an issue - but other options would be nice. USB-C for charging, and it's easy to get the controllers in and charging. The batteries seem to last - at least so far.

Not sure why I didn't get one of these sooner, but I'm sure glad I finally did - these is an awesome way to store your controllers AND keep them charged at the same time. Here's what I love about this charging station:1. It's very sturdy and stays put very well, so your controllers stay securely in place. This is surely because it has a nice no slip nodes on the base, which is excellent.2. You can fit your controller on it without needing to do anything but place it - it sits nicely and securely3. Of course the selling feature of this item is that it stores the controllers and it charges them at the same time. It does in fact do this and it does it very well!4. You get batteries that will fit older controllers AND newer ones too, as well as the battery covers for each.5. You will never run out of batteries or have to keep buying disposable ones as you ALWAYS have ready to go ones on hand. That alone makes this worth buying.6. It is an excellent price of just $20 for something that is incredibly useful!I highly recommend this item - I absolutely love it and it's been fantastic for both organization and for keeping my controllers ready to go. Excellent all the way around!!

The device works as advertised but I have a couple of problems.I got the white set even though I have black controllers (that was my fault) but the battery cover feels a little loose compared to the original. The controllers fit on the stand well but it is hard to ensure that they are connected. There is a visual indicator that shows the controller is charging, but it is easy to misalign it and not realize.Other than that, the item works as advertised, but it feels a little cheap. I do like that it included the rechargeable batteries! Some other kits don't include those.
