This thing is AWESOME. It comes with two giant batteries that seem to last forever. The included blade eats away thick brush that made my old trimmer blush. The string trimmer accessory also works great and the bump autofeed is a must have. It's super quiet and I love that the wheel can go on the bottom or side, almost like a lawnmower.

This tool was a big disappointment. I am returning it. Within the first half hour the blade had bent. It was heavy and the battery life was very short after the initial operation.

I LOVE this weed whacker! Don’t know who else calls it that but I grew up calling it that. We’ve always had the gas powered ones, and I’ve seen the ones with a cord, both of which have drawbacks. This is SO easy to use. I was so excited to finally have a weed whacker that I went around the edges of our fences and garden beds, etc, and by the end it only used one bar of battery and was so easy to use. It really could be easier to operate. It also comes with a backup battery so there’s no danger of having to stop working fully because you have to wait for a charge.I honestly can’t speak to the blade because we decided not to install it, just the string. My husband and nephew were putting this together and trying to get the cover on but they left it off because they said it blocked too much of where you’re trying to trim. I would absolutely never use the blade without the cover, especially after reading one of the other reviews.For that reason, and the fact that they significantly raised the price, I took off a star. However, I absolutely would recommend this as a weed trimmer and would pay the original price for that feature alone.I will say, my husband was very impressed with the quality of this and commented on it several times.

I’ve been using the Brushless Motor Cordless String Trimmer with Wheels for a few weeks now, and overall, I’m really impressed! The brushless motor delivers strong, consistent power, and the metal cutting blade easily handles tougher weeds and small brush. The 0.095″ dual-line bump-feed is super convenient — it’s durable and feeds smoothly without constant readjustments.One of my favorite features is the wheel design — it makes edging along sidewalks and garden beds so much easier without straining my back. The included 4.0 Ah battery holds a solid charge; I can usually get through my entire family lawn (about half an acre) on a single charge. Plus, the battery charger is quick and reliable.If you’re looking for a sturdy, battery-powered weed eater that can handle trimming, this is a fantastic option. Highly recommend for anyone with a medium to large-sized yard!

I ordered this primarily for its ability to convert to a trimmer. However, I had the opportunity to use it both ways, although I only used the blade. I did not have the opportunity to change it out and utilize the string housing, which they call the “bump-feed”. It performed as well as any I’ve used. It is made of high quality material and is well balanced - I would not call it light weight. However, due to its well balanced design, it is easy to use.The one I ordered came with two batteries, a charger, two trimming blades that each come in their own cardboard sheath, the bump-feed gizmo, and an auxiliary handle. It also came with two blade guards, and extra bolt and nut, a spool of extra string, and three tools for assembly. There was no round blade saw, but I was not expecting one.The trimmer is shipped in three parts that are all attached together from an electrical wire that runs down through the middle. You have to connect the three units together, but that is a no brainer. After attaching the three pieces of the shaft together, you’ll need to screw in a little screw to make the shaft solid. The shaft itself is longer than many other string weed-whips that I have encountered. The directions are clearly written and easy to follow.The trimmer/edger worked as well as I would want. I was able to complete the job and still had battery power left over. I trimmed along a flower bed and then converted it to ‘weed-whip’ some errant grass around the edges. Which brings me to one of two improvements they could make. One is that you have to unbolt and re-bolt the wheels to a different place on the blade guard in order to go from trimmer to edger. The other issue is the trimmer tends to bounce on its wheels when I used it. This may, or may not, be an issue for others, as I did not try all the various adjustments the wheels are designed to make.I like it a lot and will get lots of use from it this summer. If you are in the market for a trimmer/edger check this out. It is well worth a look. Highly recommended.
