I liked the paddle, good control and spin. I took one star off because the rubber started peeling from one of the two I bought, which forced me to buy another paddle. I took the other star off because it seems over priced compared to the paddles I bought to replace them.

Hands-down, I prefer a nibs-in paddle. I'm far from the best player around, but I like to give my teenager and his friends a run for their money. I really like this paddle overall. The stickiness, speed, and control are really good. On the handle, the black stripes you see are not painted/printed on. They're actually a series of contrasting pieces of wood laminated together to create the stripes. Not the kind of workmanship you're going to see on entry-level paddles.If I had one complaint (more of a comment - you decide), it's that the handle isn't as smooth on the hand as I'm accustomed to. It feels like there's no finish on the wood at all, and the butt end really isn't rounded over. I think with time, the wood will absorb skin oils and gradually will feel better. I'll either get used to the crisp edge on the end, or I'll take a little sandpaper to it. I'm not saying the wood is rough - it's very smooth - it just feel raw.All that said, this is the best paddle in our collection, so I may have to hide it from the kids and only bring it out when my dominance is challenged!

I'm an above-average player and this paddle was a great replacement for my old one. However, the very first time I used it, the piece attached to the bottom flew out. I don't even know what was there, but I heard it clatter on the ground and I never found it. About 2 months later playing once a week, and the rubber is peeling at the edges. You can tell by where the light hits the paddle. There's even damage to a part of it towards the edge despite taking relatively good care of it (keep it in a case, wipe it down after a night of playing).I've had plenty of paddles in the past for years and this never happened so soon. Disappointed in the quality of this product. It performed great but doesn't seem to have longevity.Update (January 2023)Received a replacement paddle through amazon. The rubber tore within a few months off an errant hit off the table. I have had other paddles for years before something like this happens. It is also separating from the blade; it's almost like they used the minimal amount of adhesive possible. There is bo residue and half the rubber comes clean off the blade. Lowering to 2 stars because it is a good paddle but quality is a major issue.

This was the first time spending more than $12.00 on a ping pong paddle. With all the good reviews I decided that I didn’t want to be limited in my game. This paddle totally rocks (plenty of spin and speed). The best part? I had an issue and notified the seller. They went totally out of their way to take care of me. In doing so they got a customer for life!

If you’re looking for an all around great paddle for any type of playing style, then this is it! It allows you to be offensive when you want to and defensive when you need to and it doesn’t take anything away from your accuracy. Great for someone who is trying to up their game!

I have been casually playing ping pong with my friends for the past couple of years and have always had trouble finding the right paddle for me. Then, when I did find great paddle it was way out of my price range as someone who just plays once or twice a week.This Alpha Dog paddle is legitimately my favorite paddle I've ever used, and is WAY cheaper than some of the other paddles I've looked up.If you're looking to up your game and not break the bank, this is honestly the perfect paddle.
