Curiosity about the mechanism drove me to add this to my collection of randomizers (dice, spinners, toy roulette wheels, etc). Also a bit of curiosity about whether cowgirls got their due respect. I had seen devices such as this done with metal mechanisms and wondered if they really got one working with 3d printing. Yes and no: The one I received doesn't work, but when I took it apart, I found the broken piece, and judged that it would likely have worked just fine if that piece hadn't broken. 3d printing can be kind of variable in small parts, and in different colors/batches/temperatures, so I suspect that it's a roll of the dice (or spin of the dial) whether you get one that works or not. Works for a while at least. I wish there were some way to rotate the dial manually without taking it apart. I may try to repair it, but that's a low priority.
