It's a big 22mm wrench and it didn't break when I added a pipe to it

I needed an inexpensive 22mm wrench that I could grind the crescent end down to 3/16" thick to fit into a tight space on my wife's Mercedes. This worked perfect, held up strong, and I didn't have to put the grinder to my over-priced name-brand wrench.

What a nice wrench. Beautifully polished and finished, slightly longer than normal at 11 & 1/2 inches. Nice snug fit on my o2 sensors. Removed them without rounding them off. My first “Crescent” wrench but won’t be my last.

There is a reason this companies name is known throughout the hand tool industry. No surprise, the wrench's build quality is impressive. Crafted with sturdy materials, it feels solid and durable, ensuring it can handle tough tasks without any fuss. The 12-point design allows for a good grip on various fasteners. The 22mm size is perfect for a range of applications, making it a versatile tool that comes in handy for both automotive repairs and household projects. Its combination design, with an open-end on one side and a box-end on the other, adds to its versatility, allowing easy access to fasteners in tight spaces.I can only think of two minor drawbacks. First is that the open-end side might not fit into certain confined spaces due to its bulkier design. However, this is not a major issue, and the box-end usually gets the job done in such cases. The other is that it is a 12-point as opposed to a 6-point. In some cases, you might want the versatility of a 12-point, but I find in most cases I prefer the positive grip of a 6-point to help minimize the chance of slipping and rounding bolt heads. Neither of these are huge flaws in my opinion, just observations through my personal experiences I thought I'd share.Overall, the Crescent 22mm 12 Point Combination Wrench is a reliable and practical tool. Its robust construction and 12-point grip offer peace of mind during various projects. From automotive repairs to household fixes, this wrench has proved its worth, making it an excellent addition to any DIY enthusiast or home mechanic's toolkit.

As a lifelong tool person, I've developed an eye for the differences between top-tier tools and those usually found in the bargain bin. I've used both types and many rated in between as well over the years, and this wrench, bought just because I didn't like using the bargain-bin unit I already had, is pretty clearly in the top-tier category. It's well made, well finished, and the walls of the box at the box end are thin enough that they don't interfere with adjacent bolts or hardware. Nice stuff, and now I get to feel better every time I remove a pedal from a bike crank. Zowie!
