I installed this in my D35 of my 88 Jeep XJ after my u-joint bolts broke and it works great. have to install the new seat that it some with as it's a different size from the original yoke.

This yoke is not compatible with the stock pinion seal, and the one provided is garbage. I have not driven with the yoke enough to comment on strength, but the neck is smaller than stock. Had it installed by a reputable garage, and it is leaking 5 days later. *Update : it broke just in time to close the return window. Spend a little more, cry less later.

very disappointed with this yoke. it appears pretty decent, but after about 2 months on the road, it has failed me. one of the ears where the u joint cap sits sheared off and threw my driveshaft out on the interstate, I would not recommend this yoke.

I bought one of these kits... the seal that came with it tore up immediately, but I can't say why (either defective or I botched the install). what I found next was that the OEM seal from any auto parts supplier will not work with this aftermarket yoke since the shaft sizes are different. So getting a replacement seal has proved difficult. look for a 16521.20 or 40554 seal.

Previous seal starting leaking pretty bad so decided to get this kit to upgrade to a u-bolt style from the OEM strap. Shop installed it and reported no issue.Only problem is now info for replacement seal is nonexistent so now I have to track that down.
