This is great for a child guard. It lets you place the pins to help keep your firearm from moving. This IS NOT for anything other than child safety. It will not prevent someone determined to break into it from doing so. Keep that in mind when purchasing.

I purchased this just to give it a try. I think my initial assumption of it didn't predict it's overall practicality. I used it on three different guns- a S&W Hunter XL, Taurus Public Defender and Ruger LC9. I wanted to see how well it worked with guns of different shapes and each time (with a little repositioning of pins) it worked out well. I'm impressed it remained flexible and functional and not limited to a particular gun type or size.

I give it kudos for its ability to custom fit. The problem I had was that I had to basically break down the gun because it wouldn't fit around the grips and the top was pretty low exposing the trigger anyway. This may not have been the best fit for the gun I have.

This was an amazing deal. First thing I did was give it to my 3 year old son while he was sitting in his car seat and let him play with it (locked) to see if he could figure out how to pry it open or open it any way. He was unsuccessful. I then gave him the key without telling him what to do with it. He had the key in and unlocked in about 4 minutes.Obviously the key would be hidden and he'd have no access to it but I wanted to see how long it would take should he find a key.Pros: I like that this could be customized to my particular handgun and if used properly can secure the trigger, safety, and slide rendering the firearm useless.Cons: it is very bulky on the firearm. So it made it difficult to transport in a small box.

The child lock works great. Not a substitute for teaching children proper weapons handling and safety but it works as intended and advertised. It doesn't work on my lever action. But it doesn't advertise that it will. Love the lock though. Only thing to make it better is if it were a combo lock.

Whoa....... It doesn't work in locking your firearm. It can't fit any firearm I own, rifles, revolvers, semi-autos. The only good part was that it complied with CA standards and reasonably cheap to satisfy the lock requirement for a PPT on a used firearm.This product will go into the trash and I will use my other cable lock to childproof my firearms.

This safety lock is listed on the California list of approved safety devices. Keep your invoice to prove date of purchase, and put it on a handgun or long-gun of your choice. The lock has adjustment posts to fit just about every configuration of trigger arrange. I like it better than the long cable locks for my semi-automatics.

This products is not worth the money or time to either consider. It is bulky and doesn't not fit my handgun
