Very well made hitch for my 08 Accord Coupe, but this was packaged very poorly. I blame Curt and Amazon both for this. The part came scratched all to heck due to being packaged poorly. They basically throw the part into an empty box just big enough and send it on it's way with NOTHING to keep it protected or from moving around. I'll think twice about ordering anything large and/or heavy from Amazon in the future. To Amazon's credit though, they had it for significantly cheaper than anyone else.Again, this is a high quality hitch. Very well made. I have no problem towing my lawnmower trailer with this at about 1200lbs. And before you think you can do that with the 4 cycle automatic accord... don't. You WILL kill something towing that much. I have the 280hp V6 and the low ratio 6 Speed manual, which can easily handle small trips here and there at this capacity. Tows better than my 5.0L jeep under any condition! As for installation, you WILL need to modify your exhaust heat shields to install this cleanly. At least on the 08 Coupe you do. This was fairly easy with some tin snips, but just be advised that it isn't completely bolt on. You will need SOME mechanical know how to install this. I'd say, if you do your own oil changes, then you're probably going to be fine with this.At the end of the day, I'm going to give this a 5 star rating because I'm rating the product, NOT the shipper. People don't seem to understand how that works. It's a great part that deserves 5 stars, but the shipping done by Amazon was terrible.

Installation was straight forward. Little trimming on the heat shields. Instructions were very good.Reccomend this product.

Took about 2 hours to install on my 2008 Accord Sedan. Disconnecting the exhaust was made easy with WD40. I used tools I already had, tin snips and a small stone grinder attached to my hand drill. Only a tiny notch that was cut out with the grinder was necessary to fit the square-hole spacer. You can remove the heat shield and cut out a portion of it then reinstall it as in the video install instructions or, you remove it and punch out the hole for the screws that is marked by a dimple in the heat shield and pass the screws through the heat shield. I did the latter and then used my metal shears to make just a cut in the heat shield and a rubber mallet to mold the heat shield so the hitch receiver would fit. Note, be careful with the fishwire, mine broke just as I got the carriage bolt in place. Also, two different flange nuts are included. Larger ones for the carriage bold and smaller ones for the U-bolt. I also left the fishwire on the carriage bolt and passed it throgh the eyelets of the hitch receiver to help keep the bold from being pushed back up into the car frame rail when I installed the nut at one end. I did the install without the need to jack-up the car.

The good, it looks well built, and it fits, excluding all the chopping you have to do to your car. I doubt it will break under any reasonable use.The bad. Instructions are incomplete, at best. I have a 2012 Honda Accord sedan, supposed to fit. Instructions mention cutting the heat shield, but don't mention removing and replacing the plastic trunk bottom panel, much less having to cut it to fit around the hitch. You could always leave it off, but again, not mentioned in the instructions. 45 minutes? BWAHAHAHA! Maybe on the Acura models it is supposed to fit, but since they are upscale Hondas, I suspect they have a similar trunk panel you will have to deal with. YES! you will have to grind on the holes to get the spacer to fit. not a lot, but not a little either. OBTW, the illustration of the mounting holes is a bit shy of complete. It shows only the two holes, large and small, you use to get the bolt and spacer in place. Left out is an Identical small hole, much closer to the large hole that the actual one you have to use. My advice, plan for 2 hours, if you are reasonably mechanical, and more if this is your first hitch, plan for 3 or so. MUST! take the heat shield and the black plastic trunk cover (undercover? ) panel off FIRST! Then you can see ALL the holes. Now hold your hitch up to the holes and the tow loop and you can clearly see which two holes you have to get the bolts into. The fishwire worked quite well and is long enough for the job. I managed to fish OUT my misplaced bolts and spacers and get them into the correct holes using the wires again. Now get your saw or sharp knife out and trim away some of the plastic panel so you can fit the hitch THROUGH it on the right, as you are lying on your back looking up at it (driver side of car) I chose to cut a slot in it from the back side so I could mount the hitch partially and then fit the panel back in place around/under it. You will not be able to get two of the push in bolts back, as they are covered by the hitch now, but the panel will be VERY securely clamped in place by the hitch.Had the directions been specific and clear about what you have to do, I might have rated it a 4 or maybe even a 5, since it seems very well made, but then I would not have bought it knowing what I would have to do. I have installed other brands on Hondas and had nothing like this to do. Still, it is low cost by a few dollars, so your choice. Others may be just as bad for the Hondas, since they really weren't designed with towing in mind.

Trailer hitch was delivered in a timely fashion. I was concerned that there had to be some cutting on the car, but it ended up being just sanding a little on the install. All the parts came with instructions and hitch was up in a matter of 2hrs. Hitch is constructed well.If you found this review helpful l, please like.

Wasn't made very well took a lot of work to get it on the two brackets that you bolt it to the jeep seemed bowed in so had to use a pry bar to pry it over while you screw it in and the pin and clip were not included in the package

Buyer aware, this hitch doesn't fit the 2009 Accord V6 EX L, I am returning it to Amazon. If put in both screws, the hook is on top of the hitch head. The overlap is about 2 cm. Too bad it took me 1 hour to put all the screws, get into the position, and another 1 hour to put everything back without a hitch.
