This is a Rebuilt OE Stock 1.4L DOHC TURBO GM Cylinder Head Assembly.

* casting # : 55565291 , or 55573669

* Description : Stock DOHC 1.4L Turbo Ssonic, Cruze, Trax, Encore Cylinder Head Core.

Remanufacturing Process Includes:

- Complete disassembly and thorough cleaning via hot tank & pressure tested to confirm casting integrity

- New valve seats installed as necessary

- New valve stem seals installed on all our heads & all valve guides are replaced with new ones as necessary.

- Valve job Performed with all required angles & vacuum tested seals to ensure perfect compression.

- PCD milled to ensure a super smooth finish. (PCD stands for Polycrystalline Diamond, and is best for aluminum heads).

- CBN milled to ensure a super smooth finish. (CBN stands for Cubic Boron Nitride and is best for cast-iron heads).

- All necessary parts are cleaned and inspected before final assembly to meet AERA specifications

The head assembly I bought was exactly what I needed at a great price. To anyone buying this product, buy new head bolts and a upper engine gasket set.

Definitely remanufacturedL. Gobs of silicone on each corner were it met the valve cover and timing cover. Not very clean. Came from a car that was owned by a hack, or the mechanic was! lots of big gouges in the top of the cylinder head where they pry the rocker cover off.

The head showed up in a descent time frame well packaged! I visually checked it, very clean and well machined! Operates like new!

After numerous attempts and costly repairs.. I came across a video that explained a common problem with the chevy cruze 1.4 turbo engine was the cylinder head would become porous between the cavities.. thus causing internal leaks that couldn't be seen without special test equipment.. the cylinder head came pretty quickly, and was just what my 2011 chevy cruze 1.4 turbo needed!
