It's essentially like you got two kits with this because the packaging is very different. One that comes with needles and measuring tape and one with just the blockers. I usually block with wires and pins but it doesn't always work well for sweaters and round things or very small things like granny squares so I wanted to try this style for a while. The needles in the strips are very sharp and are kept in foam in the container. They'll be great for sweaters but I think I'll stick with the wires for lace shawls.

Blocking pins are a must for any crocheter or knitter and it never hurts to have plenty of them around. This set of 40 comb style blocking pins came with two different style storage boxes with the pink pins in one box and the white ones in the other. Also included were a box of t-pins and a measuring tape. The pins are well made and feel quite sturdy. The teeth are solidly embedded in the plastic and are evenly spaced. They are pretty much standard size for this style of pin and they worked well with interlocking foam blocking mats. They handled different weights of yarn in different fibers like a charm. Have mostly used them for semi-small items like hats and cowls so far but they will definitely make their appearance for bigger projects like sweaters – thanks to this product there will be plenty to get the job done....A big enough package of blocking pins for most jobs....Blocking pins are a must for any crocheter or knitter and it never hurts to have plenty of them around.
