Use this Danco Bonnet Packing to repair your leaky faucet. If water is leaking from your faucet handles, then you need new packing. Just take out the old packing and place fresh packing about around the stem then replace the bonnet nut. Repairing a leaky faucet is an inexpensive alternative to replacing an entire faucet fixture.

Had a leaky outside faucet, from the 70s or 80s I guess, and it needed this little fiber sealing washer to fit in the cap just under the knob. Could not find one at the local hardware store. Should cost about a buck but . . . . if you need it you need it. I had to sand it down quite a bit to fit. You'll need to dig out the remains of the old one. Since then I've learned a trick from an old plumber. Take a strand from a cotton(?) mop and wrap it into the cap and it works fine to seal.

Danko is a very reputable company. This is the first item i have ever ordered that wasn’t a great value. Maybe i am missing something but there is no way the product as received would work

For those of you out there that have an outdoor faucet that's leaking, this may help stop dripping. I have a house built by Toll Brothers in 2001. The builder used NIBCO Classic 90 faucets. NIBCO quit producing them in 2007 and replacements are no longer carried by anyone. This bonnet will stop the leaking faucet. It is often refered to as a packing washer. If your basement is finished, you certainly don't want to demolish a ceiling to install a new valve.

The washer is basically supplied as advertised. It does seem to break down, but this is the intention. My real issue is with valve companies who have an imperfect design for an outdoor valve.This is a somewhat effective fix to a leaky garden hose valve at a low cost. I discovered that sometimes an old spigot actually needs complete replacing though this is worth a shot to avoid an invasive somewhat costly DIY repair ($100?)

This Bonnet Packing saved me from replacing the entire outdoor faucet on our 1950's home that used an old style graphite packing bonnet.I had looked everywhere and finely found this on Amazon. Its not graphite, but it works.

Installation involved shaving down the outer edge but this was not a big deal. Worked perfectly at stopping the leak.

fast ship and did the job. these are almost impossible to find in any store. should be 99 cents but you will be stuck paying 5 bux. be ultra careful with these. they are super delicate fabric that will split if it is not exactly the correct size. i had to file the hole a little larger as to not destroy a second one of these things.
