As a parent, my search for a safe yet convenient bed for my toddler led me to this perfect find. Originally, I was contemplating a floor bed, but concerns about uninvited critters made me reconsider. Thankfully, this bed offers the ideal balance—slightly elevated yet incredibly close to the ground, ensuring no unwelcome visitors disturb our sleep. One of the standout features is its accessibility, allowing my little one to effortlessly hop in and out with ease. Their joy knows no bounds, and the adorable design of these beds adds a delightful touch to their space. Moreover, the sturdiness of the bed pleasantly surprised me. While it's not intended for rough jumping, it serves its purpose exceptionally well for a peaceful night's rest.Without a doubt, this bed serves as a remarkable transition tool for little ones moving from a crib to a toddler bed. If you're seeking a secure and charming sleeping solution, this bed certainly ticks all the boxes. Highly recommended for both parents and their beloved little adventurers.

We moved my 2.5 year old into this so we can re purpose his crib for his new sister. It's a very nice looking bed (ours is espresso)For the price it seems sturdy enough (I probably wouldn't bounce on it myself, but it seems fine for him so far). It's a great price for what you get and I recommend it for a transition to twin bed. I wasn't sure whether to go right to a twin to save money but he was so attached to his crib and apprehensive about the idea of a new bed that I thought we'd try a toddler bed. I was happy to find this one at a price point I won't feel so guilty moving him to a twin in the next year or so.Assembly was also SUPER easy. We had between afternoon nap time and bed time to take down the crib and put this one in it's place, and I was worried it would take forever like some furniture does (I'm looking at you IKEA!). It took my husband maybe 30m to put together, and my son liked "helping" put the bottom slats on. Not frustrating or time consuming at all!Regular crib sheets fit fine on here, which is nice because after picking out a new toddler set to get him excited, my son begged for his old bedding back for familiarity!1 year+ later review: My just turned 4 year old is still in this bed! I think we will move him when his baby sister moves out of her crib sometime in the next year or so, but so far this is still going strong. I think most people move their kids out of toddler beds sooner, but he seems to like the small space, and he's not too long for it yet! I suspect we will be able to use it for his sister. This was excellent value for the price especially!

I am writing this review for those whose young toddlers do no like to sleep + move a lot in their sleep (day or night) like our 19 months old younger son.I believe that a toddler before age of 2 years old do not have the mental capacity to understand that they can get in and out of this bed safely. We are FAR from having our toddler sleep in this bed at night. Even when he turns 2 y.o I am thinking that we will construct another rail for one side (the other is against wall) that will be about 12 inch long and will cover third of the bed from another side of the original rail. This will leave a space wide enough to get out while not too wide to fall off. For now we move the crib mattress back and forth.I bought this bed because I thought that my toddler will like sleeping in it better (with fun Thomas Train pillow and a blanket like his older brother's).I quickly realized that my safety concerns surpassed anything else I had in mind. The rails are too short and do not cover even half of the bed. The ikea rails that could be attached to any bed is too long for this bed due to the existing built in rails. So I decided that I will not let my toddler sleep in this bed at night. He is VERY exited to sleep in this bed during the day and has quickly transitioned to one nap I believe thanks to this bed and the freedom it offers him. This freedom comes with price to us. During the day nap, we put couch pillows on the floor to cover the whole length of the bed side so that it could raise the surface a bit. We leave the door of his room WIDE open and sit near by in another room in order to be there right away in case he falls down. One day my husband was working from home and left the door only half open and then suddenly saw our toddler standing right in front of him. We are constantly working on explaining, showing and trying with him on how properly to get in and out of this bed and the pillows help a lot. I could tell though that every time he is going for his nap, he is looking over the rails in an attempt to jump head down over them. The quality and design of this bed are VERY good. It was easy to assemble, it looks and feels sturdy and elegant.I was very frustrated with my toddler taking cat naps on an irregular basis. This bed did solve this particular problem but again it will take time, effort and some construction materials for him and us to get rid of the crib and feel safe in this bed.
