Other than having to drill a hole through the item to fasten it to galvanized pipe, it works great.Very heavy duty and was able to pull 3 inch galvanized pipe so far into the lake bed that the pipe was flexing.Best solution I have found so far, just annoying that it needs to be drilled.

This thing is cast steel and they did not provide any way to attach to anything, so if you dont have a drill press or hammer drill good luck to ya.

This fits perfectly inside schedule 40 galvanized pipe with 2" ID and 2 3/8 OD. If you can use a power drill you can put a hole in it as well. Ran 2 bits through, second one was 3/8 and it was easy. Have bought a few of these now and they are great. For those confused about mounting them, drill a hole, go to your local big box store and buy a stainless steel 3/8 bolt with a 3 inch working length, a couple of washers and a nylock nut...it's not that hard.

Mine came with a pin to attach it to the PVC but there is no hole in it to put the pin in. Hope it drills easy. I expected a way to attach it to the PVC except superglue

These are very nice augers. Solid and heavy duty. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because you have to drill a hole through it in order to attach it to a pipe/pole. It's not overly difficult to drill, but a little time consuming. Other than that, they chew through sand with no problem. I used 6 of them and all were good.

There is NO BOLT to hold a pole on this Auger!!!! Not even a hole for the bolt!!! What good is that?

Well made and worked perfectly. There was no hole in the auger to thru bolt; however, I was able to easily drill a 3/8 hole through it. I used schedule 40 2" galvanized pipe and was able to auger a dock post 4 feet into a sandy bottom. Great product.

I bought this auger and slid 7 feet of square stock tube over the top and bolted it fast. I added a d-ring and several holes throughout and then stuck a 2.5 foot rod through the hole and drove it into the lake bed and used it to tie off a 24' boat overnight. It may not work in all situations but it definitely grabbed and screwed down well in a clay/mud bottom. Unit is heavy and well built, but not finished and a bit rough. Well done for the price!
