Larger than I expected. A big heavy duty binder. Would use for half inch chain and have no issues. Very heavy.

I'm going to miss these cheap Chinese goods after Trump wins the trade war. Only $35 for the pair when I bought them. They function just as expected and show no signs of low quality. The design is correct - they go well over center to hold themselves closed pretty reliably even before tying the handle down.
