First, this is a well made beautiful looking speaker. The problem, I already own the DefTech CS-9040 and I was doing a two month comparison. My comparison is strictly subjective as I did not use any tools other than my own ears. Here is my assessment. I went back and forth between both speakers on 4K Dolby Atmos, streaming music, DTS, and Dolby Digital. For music, hands down the D5c wins. So super crisp an detailed. For any movie, the CS-9040 blew it out of the water. Much fuller sound and sound stage for movies. Here is my setup. Denon AVR 7200WA, DefTech D11 mains, and 4 SR-9080s.

Huge upgrade for me from a deftech mythos xtr50 on wall center. I loved my setup beforehand but this is a night and day difference. Can’t compare to other mid/high end centers but I am very happy with my purchase
