This was the most attractive eschuscean plate I could find for my delta single hold faucet. A bit too pricey but I really like it and it does the job of covering extra holes in store bought vanity with sink.

I spent a lot of time trying to find a quality 4” escutcheon to cover the 2 extra holes from an old faucet on our boat. Every other one had several complaints that they compress because of thin metal and a cheap piece of foam that is supposed to seal and/or support the base. Then I found this. I actually bought a Delta faucet to match. The picture clearly shows the insert that fills the full height of the plate, so that it will not compress. I also replaced the faucet in the galley by Rovate and purchased the best generic 4” escutcheon I could find (which has a solid insert, but it is not the full height, so it will compress like the others. Surprisingly, I noticed that the hole pattern exactly matches that of the Delta faucet, so I bought another one. I have not installed them yet, but I have full confidence that it will work out great. The other perk is that it has the hole pattern which will keep it from rotating on the countertop, because it is locked into the faucet. It is one of the more expensive escutcheons, but you get what you pay for, and why spend the money on a nice faucet, only to be disappointed with the base?
