Looks good, nice finish. However it’s cheap quality. I have replaced mine once after about a year. Unfortunately once you cut and bored a wood storm door, there’s not many options but to replace with the same style, and every brand is the same bad quality. Probably all coming from the same manufacturer and just putting different brand names on them. The latch sticks. The handles loosen over time. The latch does not fully retract and by design is not supposed to, so be sure to leave an appropriate gap between the latch and the latch plate on the door frame. If you are starting from scratch with a door that has not been drilled and bored, or going to replace the door completely, DO NOT use this style latch. You will be disappointed.

I made a 1.5" thick screen door and this latch worked fine. It could probably with with a 2" thick door.

I have had to replace a number of these latches over the years on my screen door. Most don't last more than a few before the spindle bends and the door handle becomes very hard to turn. These are much smoother from day 1, look great, and are buttery smooth to turn. Just a couple of suggestions, use thread locker and don't install your knobs too close to the plate, let it have a little jiggle.

I bought 4 sets for a brand new porch; 2 sets of double doors. Builder said they were fine to install. That said, they are a terrible product. In years past I have bought the same type of product for 2 other wood screen doors and they were okay @ $15. I thought I'd spend more and get a sturdier product but these are $40 apiece and I wanted them to open and close a door, I expected the knobs to TURN. This is cheap junk and I am out $160.00 Even worse, my husband complains about them on a daily basis. NOT happy.

This storm door latch was used on my screen door. It was offered in oiled bronze, the color that I preferred. It had a nice clean look, and it was the size to fit my door. It just looks good, and it works smoothly, all the things I wanted!

This door knob has only been installed for a little over a month and it malfunctions constantly. It doesn’t twist properly and locks people in or out. I ended up on the opposite side as my baby and couldn’t get the door opened for over 5 minutes! I ended up breaking it to get out! I do not recommend this product at all!

Bought three sets for 1” patio doors. The hardware is solid, has good weight and a nice finish.I had one installation issue. The spindle is too long for the handle side. You can take up the extra by screwing in the knob more, but then the groove in the spindle is off center with the latch mechanism and it doesn’t operate correctly. I had to trim off about 1/4” of the spindle on the handle side. You likely won’t have this issue with a thicker door, but if you’re using 1” doors, be prepared with a hacksaw.
