The blades are somewhat dull in comparison to a seperately supplied blade. Not sure of the reason.

The blade wiggles around in the handle, and so these are difficult to control with precision. I'm pretty disappointed.

suitable for many things, be it first aid/bugout kit, crafts, food prep.when used for medical reasons, a topical numbing cream (and a few "shots" of a good spirit) can help alot depending on the need. i so far have used for opening/draining abscesses and boils. just takes a little practice to get the feel for using the right pressure, angle and cutting stroke.
